President Obama Farewell Address

President Obama Farewell Address President Obama touched on a number of topics including race relations, partisan divisions, and unity in his farewell address to the nation. Toward the end of his nearly one-hour speech, he got emotional thanking and talking about the first lady and their daughters. Michelle and Malia Obama were both in the crowd and also got emotional. As his presidency ends, he urged all Americans to have hope and push for change where change is needed. The address was delivered at McCormick Place in Chicago, Illinois. This was the first time that a president had returned to his hometown to deliver the traditional farewell address. Following the address, President Obama, the first lady, and the Vice President Joe Biden were seen greeting and thanking supporters in the crowd.
