Marsha, Marsha, Marsha!

Marsha, dear, sometimes the strangest things strike my funny bone!
.
In the midst of well deserved congratulations to Steve McKinnon for now being in your midst, a voice of reason who, unlike the rest of the BOS, is accessible....and was quoted as saying --
.
"In this town, we've been too focused on the casino. We need to look at the whole host of problems we face."
.
And, OMG (Marsha, that means "Oh, My God!"), he won't make stupid comments like "Sick and Tired of This Crap"!
.
He even has a widely circulated EMAIL address.
.
Marsha, dear, his email address is not to be confused with BLOGS.
.
In the midst of the congratulations on finally unseating the Cheap Seats Champ, the Boston Globe published an article about the election --
.
At the height of the debate,
Selectwoman Marsha Brunelle
would bang her gavel down when
residents dissented.
.
OMG!
.
Marsha, dear, you are reported in the Boston Globe as being the Gavel Queen that rules with an iron fist!
.
Nice job, Marsha!

  1. Let's be fair. It's Marsha's choice if she doesn't want to give out her "email web site".

  2. My Dear Nosey Neighbor,

You must have missed one of Marsha's many pearls of wisdom during a BOS meeting.

She used the words email and blog interchangeably!

Being as computer inept as I am, even I know the difference!

She also refused to circulate her "personal" email account for residents to send her their comments.

Should we tell her that you can have more than one email account?

    Naw!

We're safe because she doesn't read the blogs! (But Roger does!)

  3. Isn't it great that her Obnoxious Conduct of Gavelling Town Residents and Taxpayers to Silence has been documented?

At a recent meeting, she made a suggestion that discussion be time limited.

When you don't like democracy, that's what you do!

  4. Anon,

At the top of this blog is an icon for "Next Blog."

I'll bet you were never even tempted to click on it.

Well, when Marsha was sleuthing to discover whether I had publicly posted the Town Accountant's Contract (containing his CORI Application that the illustrious Town Counsel had sequentially numbered in the middle of the contract that should NOT have been forwarded to the Town Clerk, and certainly shouldn't have been released to me), Marsha clicked on that Icon and was horrified to discover a pornographic site.

Being unfamiliar with the internet workings, she perceived that I was linked to that pornographic site.

Each time I have clicked on the "Next Blog" icon, I seem to find myself immersed in other languages.

I forgot to ask her how long she stayed on the site or whether she passed the information along to Roger.

    Try your luck!

Marsha finally figured out that it made sense to call and ask me.

Jokes aside, Middleboro has an inept BOS, reserving judgement for the newly elected members that has served us poorly.

Marsha makes statements as if they were fact, when they aren't. Maybe that worked in the "Old Days," but it no longer serves, nor does her arrogance.

Marsha was Chairwoman when the real estate tax bills were sent months late because of her failure to call for Water Rate increases.

There's much else, but you're correct. She has a right to avoid the public, avoid circulating her email web site, and hopefully, when she runs again, her son will again ask her pre-selected and unrelated questions she can't answer like the last time she ran.

  11. I'm looking forwerd to watching the clowns next week look like idiots when 'asking the tribe' questions.

No legal opinion and minni may hasn't read the agremant. She doesnt belong on that bord.

At least she finaly figured out tonight that she needed to leave when fire dept was discusd.

  12. Pat Rogers was wrong about Spatero being serped rep.

He left it never atending metings. Remeber he was so smart said town should leave serped and somone told him we need them for $$$?

    ReplyDelete
  13. Couldnt you jsut sense Marsha wanted that Gaval tonight?

    ReplyDelete
  14. Ran for office or ran as in the form of a verb?

    ReplyDelete
  15. Do you think a night at home with the Brunelles finds Roger tinkering with the cable connection on the TV and Marsha banging on a table with a hammer yelling...Silence! Silence!

    ReplyDelete
  16. It's the only part of the Open Meeting Law Marsha has gotten consistently correct!

Rumor around town has it, that as you walk past the house at night on the street, the pounding is so loud, it can be heard from the Mitchell Club!

    ReplyDelete
  17. Did anyone notice Marsha's faulty memory again last night?

She remembers that the BOS increased the insurance deductible to $5,000.

    Not done, Marsha, dear!

Where in the posted meeting minutes was it accomplished?

Maybe you just think you remember doing it, dear. Better check again.

  18. The IT Director was quoted in the Enterprise as blaming a HS kid for the PTWS.

Last night, Marsha, his wife, blamed department heads for holding up a new web site.

Now, Marsha, dear, it seems to me I remember some of your previous public comments and we all know about your vast understanding of the internet and the importance of an email web site.

Let's stop making excuses for dysfunctional town government.

You always have and maybe it's time to stop, ya think?

Marsha, dear, you never followed through on anything. You never got things accomplished and maybe you're just confused.

When you resign, I will contribute to a gold plated gavel...well, maybe it can't be gold because then you couldn't use it to silence those you don't want to hear. We'll work it out for you, dear!

  19. Pat Rogers will be gone next year.

That means 2 years with Mimi and Marsha. I'm not sure my television will withstand the things I throw at it.

Notice Mimi's retelling of her sad tale? I'm sorry it happened so explain how her personal stories are professional conduct? She thinks that desk is her soapbox.

  20. In private moments, a few of those dept head didn't put it quite that way!

    ReplyDelete
  21. Does Roger write a script for Marsha?

    ReplyDelete
  22. Smoking Owl: The image youre coment congures up is pricless!Roger tapes the meetings, watches them during the day.In the evenings they practice "What you should have said" so Marsha is prepared for the next week. Her son comes over with a list of quesions to prepare her.Thats why Marsha looks so tired.

  23. I just viewd Monday night's BOS meeting.

SM motioned to adhere to "Robert's Rules".

I was waiting for waiting for some other board member to ask, "Robert who?"

    ReplyDelete
  24. I would hope that in watching these meetings, people are noticing more misinformation, distortions, inaccuracies, lack of transparency and other things than the "Robert's Rules" issue.

Although the silence of the remaining Board members and their failure to second the motion, even for discussion, was striking, there were really important revelations that are overlooked.

Let's not focus on the trivial at the expense of major concerns.

  25. Marshas stupid coments will haunt her like Spateros Cheap Seets coment.her suporters will think its unfare or harasment.we all know its Marshas arogence and hatred voted out.mimi is just stupid should start a cabel show of mimis gardening tips.

  26. does minni me bring hubby with her to cheer her stupid coments?i dont buy from his bussness anymore.

  27. It takes a village.

  28. Shouldn't there have been a public hearing before the board reduced the trash fees? Who should I ask?

It seemed that the town manager had made the decision and the board went along.

Are we returning to allowing the TM to rule the town?

    ReplyDelete
  29. Holding town meeting so close to the end of the year makes me nervous. What if there isnt a quorem?By not balancing the budget with cuts and layoffs early sounds bad.

    ReplyDelete
  30. "important revelations"?ya mean like the new fire chief not knowing how many ambulences were in town? or where they are housed?

    ReplyDelete
  31. Anyone who has sent an email to the town hall specificaly derected to a party knows it goes to Roger. It get returned with Roger's little 2 cents added usualy looking stupid and I feel like saying "mind youre own bussines"!Who knows what he deletes?Thats why he doesnt want direct emails hed lose control.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Maybe no one listen but with the blogs, at least I can "file a complaint."

With Jack Healy, the complaint stoped with him and he NEVER did anything.

Wayne Perkins was useless. If you had a problem, save your phone call because he didn't care. Wayne is just their for the pension credits. Don't kid youself!

If you told Marcia she really is prety stupid. Just repeats what shes been told. Never does anything.

  33. It seems importent that we keep comeinting about whats wrong what we think.sum is geting better.

  34. Hal Brown has determined through his vast deductive abilities that you are Smoking Owl. With such highly developed skills is it a wonder he sees few clients and his workload is so trivial he posts all day on the internet? Cease your use of big words. It's confusing him!

    ReplyDelete
  35. Why would the new fire chief need to know anything? Haven't you figured out yet he is just there as a fixture that was introduced to the chosen four fire dept. members at the police chiefs ok? Gee, who is REALLY running the fire dept. behind the scenes? No not the police chief, his buddy and side kick. Think about it. He does the majority of the talking, the majority of the press releases, etc. Need more be said? We could have save the salary of a fire chief and opened the station at the rotary. No, that would have made sense and saved money. There are enough men to man two stations. The taxpayers just keep believing the same old BS.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Are you going to comment on ATM? They haven't set a date for a public hearing. The warrant closed in March. What are we waiting for?

Will Cristello hold up the information until the week before?

We need to work harder to get things done the way they make sense to work for us.

    ReplyDelete
  37. Congratulations to Rullo and McKinnon!

It's pretty exciting to see some real change.

Both asked some good questions and made good comments last week.

Now we have to work to change the rest of the board.

    It shouldn't be too hard.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Here's the Boston Globe praising the election and tossing in a sentance about Marcia? How funny is that? There should be enough video clips of Marcia banging that gaval to create her first campagn ad now. If it was viewed now maybe she would do us a faver and resign.

    ReplyDelete
  39. Just a reminder there is a new fire chief in town, and not the interim/police chief and his buddies! I think you have the information wrong,
you don't see the interim's side kick speaking anymore. The time will come
when the truth does come out about the little group that had their way for too long of a time.

    ReplyDelete
  40. If you are referring to Captain Wiksten, you didn't watch the last BOS meeting at which he was present and spoke, along with the new Fire Chief.

    ReplyDelete
  41. yes I did watch it and if you remember
the new chief said he was handed this problem with the tanks, that the captain had been in charge of for two years, (why didn't he do something) do you think maybe the new chief wanted the same answers asked by the BOS???? What exactly was Wiksten doing???? Evidently, not much.

    ReplyDelete
  42. You have to remember the new fire chief has all this stuff dumped on his lap, and you had an interim with his buddies running amok, now its up to this chief to decipher everything, and it will take time, I think the BOS realize that they were duped when they agreed to this deal with the interim/police chief.

If you recall a certain captain who thought he was a shoe in for chief, under the interim wrote a disgruntled letter bad mouthing everyone but him. So they didn't get their way and the interim had nothing to do with this selection!!!!! Go in there and talk to the majority of Firefighters, and they will tell you how morale has skyrocketed, they don't feel threatened anymore!!!! FOR ONLY BEING ON 4 WEEKS ON THE JOB, HE HAS DONE FAR MORE THAN SOMEONE WHO WAS IN CHARGE FOR 18 MONTHS!!! dON'T BE AFRAID TO ASK THE MAJORITY, THEY WILL TELL YOU!!!

    ReplyDelete
  43. watch for the police cheif intervews.2 locals big misteak.gatsy's another one to watch.him we dont need and they need to appt from outside this tyme.

    ReplyDelete
  44. you will know the new fire cheif knows what's going on when he eleminates 1 captin.

    ReplyDelete
  45. I just want to know how we get rid of Minni Me.Doesnt anyone talk to this lady and tell her how bad she looks?

    ReplyDelete
  46. Is their anything we can do to replace Marcia?Globe publishing this tells you how bad she is.She had to practice with Roger to nake those cometns last week.Watch for more of the same this week.

    ReplyDelete
  47. Come on now. The BOS knew well what they were doing allowing the police chief to also be the fire chief. How could he run two departments when he had NO CLUE what, or were his own department were up to? Under the sheets, Wiksten took control over the FD and everyone knows that. The BOS knew it and allowed it. I don't see any reality to the comment of getting rid of 1 captain. I'm sure his contract protects him. Does it protect for demotions too? He's been called on the carpet numerous times and not even a verbal warning. Now that's our town for ya.

    ReplyDelete
  48. Leave Wiksten alone, he was taking care of business. Just don't know what business. The two hatted chief should have to answer the tank problems that weren't handled in two years. Forget that idea. His last day of work is May 14th but he don't officially resign till June or July. Why because he got to write his own handsome contract. Will the new police chief get the same perk? If it's Gates bet he does.

    ReplyDelete
  49. yeah wouldn't it be nice if the Globe
or the channel 4 I team came done and exposed all that happened with interim
and his buddies running the fire department. If the town is smart they will get rid of any local for PD chief.

Remember if you look in the contract for the FD he is not protected that was a position management made for him, just ask any real firefighter.

You mean like the expert captain who picked out the new million dollar monster, how would he know what would be needed for the town, he never probably ran a truck. I really don't understand how they let the interim have so much power when he had no clue
on the position, he went by hearsay from his just as clueless cronies!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  50. I heard he did payroll under the interims permission, maybe they should
    do an AUDIT!
