Sad time for Republicans in Massachusetts

After dragging the swamps for a Republican candidate...any Republican candidate to run for election to fill the Senate seat vacated by Senator John Kerry, the Massachusetts Republican Party is grieving its lack of viable, electable candidates.

Rumor has it that ever the Glutton-for-Punishment Scott Brown will run as a last minute write-in candidate which avoids the inconvenience of collecting 10,000 signatures to add his name to the ballot.

The national image of the Republican Party's extremism and obstuctionism inspires neither confidence nor admiration.
