End Walmart's Attempt to Suppress Basic Workers' Rights

I call on you to publicly urge Walmart to immediately reinstate Walmart worker Barbara Collins and her coworkers. They were illegally fired for simply standing up for better jobs and a better life.
Walmart must immediately end its illegal attempts to suppress our most basic freedom to speak out when we see that something is wrong. We urge you to break your silence and take a stand.

Why is this important?

Marissa Mayer made her name as an innovator in the tech industry. Unfortunately, her treatment of workers doesn’t seem quite as innovative.

Last week, Walmart began illegally firing and disciplining my coworkers across the country simply because we came together to speak out for what was right. My coworker Barbara Collins, a single mother and 8 year Walmart employee, bravely confronted Marissa Mayer about these attempts to suppress our basic rights at Yahoo!’s shareholders’ meeting.

Instead of listening to her, Walmart fired Barbara. That isn’t right.

It’s unacceptable that a company with $16 billion in profits is bullying working families, just trying to make ends meet and keep food on the table.

As a leader in the tech industry, multimillionaire and role model for working women, we expect better from Marissa Mayer.

Tell Mayer to give Walmart moms like Barbara a chance by telling Walmart to end its illegal attempts to suppress workers’ rights.
