Nothing Gets Done Because of Republicans!

Let's stop pretending!

Republican Obstruction is WHY nothing gets done in Washington.

This represents Republican Obstruction for no reason other than being petulant children!

This needs to end and we need to boot these Republican Obstructionists OUT OF OFFICE!

Please add your name to Senator Udall's petition below.....

Mark Udall for Colorado

They’re on the right track, but we’ve got a long way to go.

U.S. Sen. David Vitter (R-Louisiana), the top Republican on the Senate Environment and Public Works Committee, announced Tuesday that he would oppose a filibuster of President Obama’s well-qualified nominee to lead the Environmental Protection Agency, Gina McCarthy. But other obstructionists are waiting in the ranks to block her confirmation.

That's why we need to crank up the pressure on Senate Republicans to end the pointless delays.

There’s no good reason to filibuster McCarthy’s nomination to the EPA. She's someone who has fought for common-sense ways to protect our clean air and clean water. And she's not a partisan. In fact, she’s served five Republican governors throughout her impressive career in public service, including a top spot as climate and energy advisor to former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney.

The Senate has even confirmed Gina once before — when she took the reins of the Clean Air program in 2009. Since then, the effects of global warming, drought, and wildfires have only intensified. Coloradans are experiencing it first-hand.

The obstruction of Gina McCarthy's nomination is just one example of the partisan gridlock that has got to stop. It’s time to allow this bipartisan-supported nominee to get to work protecting our clean air and clean water.

With the climate challenges confronting the West, it’s never been more essential to have a strong leader at the helm of the EPA. Let’s get Gina McCarthy confirmed so we can protect Colorado's quality of life.

Thanks for your support on this important issue,

Mark
