Save A Life!

You know the drill - If you're considering adding a furry member to your family, PLEASE, Save A Life! Check out local shelters, rescue groups and the dedicated volunteers who transport rescued animals miles to offer an opportunity for a Forever Family.

Remember that most animals in shelters will be euthanized, frequently by gassing.
They will never find a loving home.

Adoption and Transportation information available on links.

Please support Spay and Neuter Programs!

I'm breaking a rule here tonight, but this baby is only 14 weeks old and she's already been betrayed by her owner. Seriously they couldn't find someone to take a puppy? My biggest concern is that kennel cough can take a little one like this out. Please share her and lets find this baby a home quick ♥!

For more information on adopting please read the following: http://urgentpetsondeathrow.org/must-read/

DO NOT call the shelter and say you are adopting unless you truly intend on physically going to the shelter to adopt the dog. It ties up phones lines and is a waste of the staff's time to explain the adoption procedure over the phone for someone who is purposely not going to show up. They need every free second of their time to answer calls, assist actual adopters, process intakes, and care for the animals. More importantly, they will note the dog’s file that an adopter is en route which will prevent an actual adopter from saving the dog. This is considered a "fake adoption" hold and that is how dogs fall through the cracks and end up being killed.

For more information on a particular dog, email adoption@nycacc.org but ONLY if serious about adopting, and ONLY if you are able to GO TO the shelter in-person. Please do not email for status updates... the only thing you will accomplish is spamming their in boxes and causing REAL adopter emails to go un-noticed. Contact the NYC ACC at (212) 788-4000 for further automated instructions.

These 3 are adorable and one of over 75 kitties we have here. They are a bit small so how about someone foster or rescue them. The Black and Gold was stuck in a... storm drain and we came to her rescue, she soon made friends with the two tabby speckled belly cuties. They are now her body guards. Email if you can help this entourage rescue@fultonanimalservices.com located in Atlanta, GA.

Duke is a sweet but nervous guy who wound up at ACC because his owner died. The owner’s son works overseas, and can’t take care of Duke. Duke is completely blind, and will need a home willing to work with him in order to help him adjust to his new surroundings. Duke is timid when he first meets you, but with some support, gentle reassurance, and some delicious treats (he is partial to mashed potatoes and gravy), I’m sure Duke will warm right up! Please help this regal boy with special needs.
