Exxon wants to send tar sands oil through old pipelines that run right by the lake, which also provides drinking water to most of the surrounding states.

SNAP is mostly used by military families who do not earn enough for food for their kids, disabled people who's disability check is not enough for them to eat, people on Social Security who have no other income, and people who work full time for minimum wage (like at Walmart or McDonalds) who cannot survive on $280 a week (before taxes).
