Save A Life!

Most animals in shelters will be euthanized. Most of them were someone's pet, a family member.

By the time you read this, many will have been euthanized.

If you're considering a furry family members, please consider shelters and rescues first.

Senior Alert!
CARSON LUCKY (A4613728) is a senior fluff-ball who has found himself at the Carson Shelter (L.A., CA. 310-527-3138). He was owner-surrendered to ...the shelter on August 1 with no reason noted. He is listed as a 10-year old (could still have plenty of years left) neutered male, white Poodle - Miniature and Cocker Spaniel mix. He has no behavioral notes; his medical notes are all about his mouth: missing teeth, dental disease, and his tongue hangs out to the side.
Please network this guy for foster/ rescue/ pledges/ adoption!

Betrayed, puppy returned to same facility from which she was originally adopted

August 16, 2013
Betrayed - a dog, actually, still just a puppy at just eight months of age, was adopted from the Los Angeles County Animal Care and Control facility in Lancaster, Calif., when she was two months of age.
Five days ago, she was returned to the same facility.
The sadness, hurt and despair are readily apparent in her beautiful eyes.
Today, this puppy is in danger thanks to the people who adopted her. When she was initially taken from the facility, she was a pudgy, adorable two-month-old puppy.
Today, while still beautiful, she is less likely to find a home because so many adopters "only" want a young puppy.
The fact that this gorgeous girl is listed as a pit bull mix, also makes her future uncertain - tragically, animal control facilities are overflowing with "pit mixes" and the rescue agencies which work to save their lives, are often filled to capacity.
Please take a moment to offer this beautiful, unique dog the chance for a happy future.

I am sweet and petite and hoping for a wonderful new home! I lived my whole life in a tiny cage without access to fresh air, green grass or sunshine. Imagine my suprise when I came out into the big world! My past has taken its toll on my health, but I am happier and healthier than I have been in a long time. I hope some special person has it in their heart to adopt a little boy like me, and give me the love I deserve.

Major is an adorable 10 year old neutered little boy available for Adoption through the Humane Society in Charlotte, NC. More info: http://humanesocietyofcharlotte.org/adopt-a-dog/details/?20551846

Karma has a little something special saved back for the person who had owned Corbata for all of his 7 years, and who let Corbata get into the shameful physical condition that is documented in his medical notes. Corbata trusted his former owner to do their best for him even as Corbata's physical condition deteriorated to the point where he was sitting in his own urine, with open sores, unable to walk. The pain Corbata has been allowed to experience 24/7 must be incredible, and it is impossible to imagine sitting idly by, watching your dog get worse day after day ... Despite that shocking level of neglect, Corbata loved his former owner and being surrendered to the shelter today for "medical" reasons, must have been a crushing emotional blow. Corbata needs someone to stand by him as his medical issues are investigated, someone who can keep him safe and loved no matter what comes next. The ACC has a lethal injection set aside for Corbata and they will deliver that tomorrow at noon, unless someone can make better arrangements tonight. Hasn't this dog endured enough? Please help Corbata right now.

This album contains a combination of 9-1-1 urgents and adoptable herders and heelers in the eastern USA states. Those designated URGENT may have a matter of days to find rescue or adoption. Those without the urgent designation still need rescue or adoption quickly as their status could change at any time pending how many intakes come in. Please share all of these dogs immediately. Post offers to sponsor, adopt, or rescue on the actual shelter link and not on our page.
IS WORTH IT.

Just wanted to share another fantastic success story! Camden, one of the pups that has been at Stark the longest, was adopted and we are just so thrilled for him!!! Happy life lil man
