UPDATE on "BOSS" - FREE AT LAST! Click next picture over to see his sad face inside the shelter and now look at him playing with his new friend! Thank you all and especially to Jaylene who never gave up on him!
Thank-you for those who have showed support and kindness to me regarding the Doggie that my Husband and I Rescued from the middle of the street on my lunchbreak
... a couple of weeks or so ago. Some of you know of my great heartbreak when I found out his Sister was euthanized a week ago Sat. and also know that I was trying desperately through various means to save him from the same fate after his Owners never claimed him at Animal Control.
Due to Animal Control's strict guidelines regarding Pit Bull Adoptions, it seemed nearly impossible for me to pull him out of there without an Official Rescue Group coming forward. Well, in the "11th Hour" special favor was granted to me.
After many days of speaking with Animal Control Staff, Supervisor's/ Manager's; I was able to speak with the Outreach Coordinator. She suggested something I had asked about early on. She consulted with 2 Supervisors who approved and granted me a Special Waver to pull him out of there on the condition that I put him immediately into a Veterinary Kennel for treatment and boarding. This was a huge victory! I had asked about Kenneling both Dogs early on until I found a loving home for them and did not have an open door then. Thankfully, in the "11th Hour" approval was granted for me and my Husband to save this Boy from euthanization.
With relief and thankfulness in my heart for the favor granted, I went to Animal Control to adopt this Precious but now very sick, Doggie. (He got very sick while in there.) When we went to pick him up, many workers (including a Veterinarian) came and expressed their thanks to us. They were so happy we were pulling him out. We were completely surprised by their reaction. One seemed to tear up as she clasped her hands together and kept repeatedly saying, "Thank-you, thank-you, thank-you" while telling me how sweet he was.
As we walked him outside, 3 Workers happily walked outside with with us. One of them through their arms around him while the others smiled and gave him a big hug. They were so thankful to see him leave. We were speechless- completely surprised by their reactions. This just confirmed what we saw in him.
My Husband and I took him Immediately to a Pre-agreed upon Vet. Kennel where he was treated and Kenneled for a few days. He began to experience relief, improving everyday. His strength increased and countenance lifted.
In the meantime, the Director of a somewhat local Animal Sanctuary surfaced and knowing that I was not allowed to keep him at my house, volunteered to take him into her Sanctuary. So on Mon.(My Birthday) afternoon, we picked up "Boss" and took him to the Sanctuary. Boss has made many Friends and has especially bonded with another "Pit" named Irvin. It was so great to see him get so excited when he met his new Friends. They started playing together almost immediately. Thank-you for all of you who have shared my previous posts, have come to my page and contacted me with ideas for Rescues and have written caring thoughts and words. Thank-you to those who stepped forward and were willing to do what you could even though you were so far away (A special thanks to some new Friends in Canada. ♥). I would also like to thank Angels for Animals, Network who helped me spread this need to thousands of people which resulted in the connection made with the Animal Sanctuary.
We Rescued this this Doggie. There's many more animals who are suffering and waiting in Shelters for Rescue. Please Adopt and Save from your local Shelters!! I hope one day euthanization will be abolished and no more animals will have to suffer and die due to owners neglect and irresponsibility, etc.
If anyone would like to donate to the Sanctuary that took "Boss" in, please send them a note of thanks and go to: http://www.fromtheretocare.com/ Thank-you again so much for your care and support.
Please see the 'Before and After' Pictures of "Boss."- The First Pic. Boss is looking very sad, weak and sick in a Kennel at Animal Control. The Second Pic. was taken the first day at the Animal Sanctuary. He is playing with his new "Pit" Friend, Irvin. Thanks again, everyone!

Why would anyone abandon a BLIND SENIOR who only wants a warm lap?
BEYOND URGENT!!! GA, Fulton “Rose” Adorable, Senior Chi X Mostly Blind & Possibly Deaf **PLEASE HELP** NOT SURE HOW MUCH TIME SHE WILL BE GIVEN AT THE SHEL
...TER!!!
Please help this dear, sweet, senior girl find a forever home or rescue ASAP!!! Please do not let her die alone and afraid in a shelter!!! Anyone who has ever known a vision diminished, or even blind dog, will tell you that once acclimated, you forget they have any eye issues at all and they are the same loving dogs, if not more so, as the fully sighted! Rose will be no different! If you find you are not in a position to help now, please quickly share with all your contacts! Thank you!
We received the following:
ROSE - IDA457666
Rose was brought in as a stray. We can’t imagine she wandered very far from anywhere. She is ancient. She has no vision in her left eye, and very limited vision in her right eye. We believe she may also be deaf. She has a quarter size tumor on her stomach, and her teeth are, well, let's not talk about her teeth. She probably weighs around 5 lbs.
She just needs a safe place to snuggle up and sleep 20 hours a day. Can you help her?
This is all the information we have. We are networking; we do not have this sweet pup, nor, unfortunately, are we able to help with transport. For any additional information, or to adopt or rescue, please quickly get in touch with the shelter/person listed under contact information.
We try to update our posts as quickly as possible. If anyone else has been in contact with the shelter/contact and has updates, please comment and let us all know. Thank you.

10 year old housemate and his 6 year old housemate, IYSIS - A0976018, have just lost their entire world—their home, their person, each other. Sitting in separate cages at Brooklyn ACC, the likely can hear each other but cannot touch. What a cruel fate to 2 loyal family dogs! Being the good boy he is, Ty’son has tried hard to make the best of an impossible situation and was absolutely cooperative during his initial medical thus earning a Green rating. Though suffering from some sort of “cold”, with a lot of tartar on his 10 year old teeth, and some skin irritation on his leg, Ty’son nevertheless was found to be in overall decent health and at a decent weight. No doubt Ty’son just wants he and Iysis to go home back to their old life but no one has come back for him so now this boy needs to find a new home quick. In a perfect world, Ty’son could go with his buddy Iysis so that they could continue to live out their lives together. But ACC has put Ty’son on tomorrow’s euthanasia list so Ty’son has to be the priority right now. He’s a sweet older guy who isn’t looking for someone who likes to go hiking or jogging—all he wants is a nice warm bed, a stroll through the neighborhood a few times a day, some decent food, a few toys and the chance to give out all those doggie kisses he has left in him. Are you the person who can give him that? If you are, step up to foster or adopt sweet old Tyson—you won’t regret it! But do it now—tomorrow, Ty’son will be no more.

San Antonio, TX - Brooks Facility
THERE WERE OVER 50+ EMPTY KENNELS AT ACS BROOKS FACILITY TODAY, yet the City of San Antonio Animal Control CHOSE to KILL. I a...m sorry but it is not euthanizing when you have a choice to save a life over "extinguishing one". There were also many empty kennels on main campus today but instead of saving the lives of Brooks dog, ACS did not abide by their own policy and euthanize 6 Brooks dogs instead of giving them a chance at life. This week alone ACS has been bragging that they do "OH SO MUCH FOR THESE DOGS" yet they killed senselessly today. Per a volunteer, one Brooks dogs, had an adopter onsite that was refused because ACS didn't feel his income was sufficient. Another was killed even though a foster emailed to help him. HOW IS THIS OK SAN ANTONIO DOG LOVERS? THIS IS YOUR TAX DOLLARS AT WORK!! TODAY ACS CHOSE TO KILL THIS WAS NOT EUTHANIZING, THIS WAS KILLING.
**URGENT** This baby is at a pound where she must stay in a cage 24 hours a day 7 days a week- The commissioners within this county will not allow volunteers so she does not have a chance to feel the sunshine on her face and the grass on her feet Because of this all dogs entering this facility are considered URGENT and need our voice- If you can save her - please- contact the shelter and GO visit with her
