Our Proud Heritage of National Parks
PBS recently broadcast an amazing Ken Burns' documentary about our great national park that is awe-inspiring.
Previous heroes with foresight preserved lands that are unmatched, unparalalled around the globe.
If you haven't visited our national treasures, you truly need to do so, even if only by armchair or Ken Burns.
They were worth preserving 100 years ago and more important to preserve today.
Let's work to preserve our legacy.
What unites Montanans of different stripes? Their love of national parks. That's why a diverse coalition of cowboys, hunters, recreationalists, and members of the Blackfeet Nation are opposing a Louisiana oilman's lawsuit demanding immediate approval to drill near Glacier National Park. http://ow.ly/pqCZ9
The company, Solenex LLC, wants to develop a 6,200 acre area near the Badger-Two Medicine region of the Lewis and Clark National Forest, which sits next to Glacier National Park. Earthjustice attorneys are representing the diverse coalition in court to stop the plan.
