BP's Toxic Legacy

"There's only one thing that oil companies that smear our coastlines understand, when it hits them in the pocket book. And the current administration has decided to give BP a new tract almost adjacent to where the Deepwater Horizon went down. I don't think that's going to impress BP on the need to do something to make sure that a spill doesn't happen, and, if it does, that they're ready to respond."
- Greg Palast chats with Mike Papantonio on Ring of Fire.

This segment originally aired on the April 27th, 2014 episode of Ring of Fire on Free Speech TV. It's been four years since BP leaked more than 200 million gallons of crude oil into the Gulf of Mexico. BP has recovered just fine, but the ecosystem and the victims along the Gulf Coast are still suffering. Ring of Fire's Mike Papantonio discusses what's happened in the 4 years since the spill with author and investigative journalist Greg Palast.
