4,000 3 Oct 2014 The Pentagon said on
Friday it may send nearly 4,000 troops to West Africa to support America's

cautioned its projections may change further. Rear Admiral John Kirby said

headquarters staff of a joint forces command led by Maj. Gen. Gary
Volesky.

US Ebola patient's friends quarantined under armed
guard 3 Oct 2014 Four members of a
household with whom the US Ebola patient had been staying were confined to their
Dallas apartment under armed guard on Thursday as authorities faced tough
questions over a series of missteps in their handling of the case. Towels and
sweat-ridden bedclothes remained for two days in the Dallas apartment where an
undiagnosed Ebola sufferer – Liberian citizen Thomas Eric Duncan – was staying
because health officials in Texas struggled to find a waste management company
willing to accept them.

which also bans visitors, was imposed after the quarantined individuals tried to
leave.

epidemic sweeping West Africa. Ashoka Mukpo, 33 years old, checked into a tent
hospital in the Liberian capital Monrovia Thursday morning and registered a 101
degree fever, he said by telephone from the facility, which is run by Doctors

Attack Helicopter Shot Down By IS Rocket
Launcher 3 Oct 2014 Fighters from the Islamic State extremist group have used a rocket
launcher to shoot down an Iraqi military helicopter, say officials. The pilot
and co-pilot of the Mi-35 aircraft were reportedly killed in the attack which
happened between the towns of Beiji and al Senniyah in northern Iraq. The
shooting down of the helicopter showed the insurgents' ability to hit back
against air operations by Iraqi authorities and the US-led coalition...Beiji,
which is 130 miles north of Baghdad, is home to Iraq's biggest oil
refinery.
Holy coincidence, Batman!
Guantánamo Force-Feeding Torture Videos to Be Released, So a New
I-CIA-SIS Beheading Video Conveniently Emerges Posted by Lori Price, www.legitgov.org 3 Oct 2014 Today we learn that a federal judge has ruled that videos depicting detainees'
force-feeding torture at the Guantánamo Bay prison must be released, tapes that
the U.S. military and the U.S. Department of 'Justice' have been keeping secret.
See, from the Guardian: Judge orders Guantánamo Bay force-feeding videos to
be released 3 Oct 2014 A federal judge has ordered the
disclosure of videotapes that show the force-feeding of an inmate at Guantánamo
Bay. Days before the first legal challenge to the force feeding is expected to
begin, Judge Gladys Kessler of the Washington DC district court on Friday
ordered the government to prepare public versions of 28 videos showing a Syrian
detainee prisoner, Abu Wa'el Dhiab, forcibly removed from his Guantánamo Bay
cell and fed through a tube inserted through his nose into his stomach.
Immediately following the judge's ruling, ISIS aka I-CIA-SIS, suddenly
(allegedly) beheads another
captive!
Isis video purportedly shows murder of British hostage Alan
Henning 3 Oct 2014 Islamic State militants
have published a video that is said to depict the murder of a British aid convoy
volunteer Alan Henning three weeks after warning that he would be the next to
die. If the video is found to be authentic, Henning will be the fourth western
hostage to have been killed by the group, following the (alleged) video-taped
beheadings of US journalists James Foley and Steven Sotloff, and Scottish aid
worker David Haines. The latest crime comes after the UK launched air strikes
against Isis, joining the US and its Arab allies - Jordan, [the biggest group of beheading sociopaths on
God's green earth,] Saudi Arabia and the UAE - which had been
targeting the group for several days.

ruling
came after a coalition of media organisations, including the Guardian, applied
for disclosure of unclassified versions of tapes that the US has never made
available. The Justice Department and the military only acknowledged the existence of the tapes
last year in filings to Kessler.

Death threat e-mailed to
hundreds of Harvard students 4 Oct 2014 A
large number of students and others affiliated with Harvard University received
an e-mailed death threat on Friday, prompting an increase in security around the
Ivy League campus. In a written advisory to the campus community, Harvard police
said that "hundreds of Harvard students and affiliates" received an e-mail at
about 4:45 p.m. in which the author threatened to gun down recipients on campus
on Saturday. "Harvard University Police Department (HUPD) immediately began
investigating [the threat], and also notified other local law enforcement
agencies as well as the FBI," the advisory said, adding that campus police would increase their presence on school grounds over the
weekend.
Leaked U.S.-Europe trade document confirms chemical industry attack
on health safeguards 3 Oct 2014 As the
seventh round of talks on the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership
moves toward conclusion today in Chevy Chase, Maryland, Friends of the Earth is
calling for a more transparent negotiating process, especially in light of a
leaked secret TTIP
text on toxic chemicals. The closed door talks
opened Monday, September 29, under a veil of secrecy to all except "cleared
advisors," most of whom represent large corporations and trade associations.
Negotiating text is not released to the press after each round of talks as was
the past practice -- for example in talks for a Free Trade Area of the Americas.
This secrecy is alarming given that TTIP negotiating objectives would result in
weaker public interest and environmental regulation.
Vice accused of bowing to big corporations, sacrificing journalism
for business 2 Oct 2014 A former associate
editor for [useless] Vice is making waves after releasing internal emails that
he says suggests that "there's no wall between editorial and marketing" at the
media company. On Wednesday this week, Los Angeles-based writer Charles Davis
posted a series of screenshots...that he claims have come from emails sent by
management at Vice, where he worked from December 2012 until last month. In one
apparent exchange, Davis shows an email in which he's reminded that "basically
any mention of a large entity that [Vice] might be marking some kind of business
deal with...should get run up the flagpole" before being published.
