U.S. Rep. Rick Nolan (Minnesota) introduced a bill Friday that would prevent future Congresses from getting paid during government shutdowns.
“If hundreds of thousands of other federal employees are to go without their salaries ... then the Congress should not be paid either," he said.
If the government does shut down, should lawmakers take a pay cut?

Republicans are threatening to shutdown the government on Sept. 30th unless Democrats agree to defund Planned Parenthood, which provides 500,000 breast exams, 400,000 pap tests, and 4.5 million STD tests every year. Shame on them!
