Trump scams Veterans....$18 TRILLION Wall Street Journal Fairy Tale...George Pataki embarrasses Republicans, Mary Jo White

"What Senator King knows is that his home community, Montgomery County, has been dealt repeated body blows by the policies of the Kansas Republicans. The loss of a hospital is the newest and most notable, but it was last year when Amazon decided to leave nearby Coffeyville. Amazon at one point hired 1,000 Full Time Employees. Between Amazon, the loss of John Deere (38 employees), and Southwire (200 employees), Montgomery County has been dealt a harsh hand. Montgomery County, and their roughly 35,000 residents were not prepared for the significant job losses that have hammered these small and proud Kansas towns."
The closure of Independence, Kansas Mercy Hospital may mark the moment where discussion of Medicaid Expansion took a sudden and significant turn....

Why do we have a mobile billboard shuttling back and forth between the headquarters of the Securities and Exchange (SEC) and the White House this week? To send a clear, unequivocal message: It is time for SEC Chair Mary Jo White to go.
We all remember the collapse of Lehman Brothers seven years ago. Certainly the American people, many still stuck in unde…

Gary Schrecengost Hey WSJ, Your Hit Piece on Bernie Sanders Got a Fact Check and It Failed!

The Wall Street Journal, the rag owned by Rupert Murdoch, ran a hit piece on Bernie Sanders (won't link to it) which was also picked up by the usual suspects here. It super exaggerated the costs to Bernie Sanders proposed policies and placed the cost of his proposals at 18 trillion and surprise! it didn't include the cost savings components included in the proposals. We're setting the record straight.

Image does not include savings from eliminating War on Drugs and the massive incarceration rates attributed to that program.
It also does not include eliminating the 'prison for profit' system which is a bloated scheme to leech federal money based on the number of incarcerated, which include for non-violent crimes and the obscene incarceration of illegal immigrants for profit.

Also does not include savings from 'Wars for Profit' which has been a drag to the federal budget and a bonanza for the MIC.

Eric J Braden But according to the very data cited by The Journal’s Laura Meckler, Sanders’s highly progressive proposals wouldn’t cost the United States a single penny, on net, over that 10-year window. In fact, they’d cost less, overall, than what we’d spend without them.

The Wall Street Journal says Bernie Sanders' agenda comes with an $18 trillion price tag.
The truth says ... something different.
The Wall Street Journal put an $18 price tag on Bernie Sanders' agenda. The senator says that's "significantly exaggerated." Which is it?
