FY2017 Local Aid Estimates Based on HWM Budget Proposal

FY2017 Local Aid Estimates Based on House Ways and Means Committee Budget
The FY2017 local aid estimates based on the House Ways and Means (HWM) budget proposal have been posted to the Division of Local Services website at the link below:
Compared to House 2, which was released earlier this year, the HWM Committee budget proposal increases the minimum aid component of Chapter 70 to $55 per pupil, and have reduced the charter tuition reimbursement program by $15.5M.  Most other cherry sheet accounts are consistent with the amounts appearing in House 2.
Local aid estimates for charter tuition and charter reimbursements are based on estimated tuition rates and project enrollments under charter previously issued by the Board of Elementary and Secondary Education.  Please be advised that charter school assessments and reimbursements will change as updated tuition rates become available.  Estimates for School Choice assessments may also change significantly when updated to reflect final tuition rates.
If you have questions about these estimates, please call the Municipal Databank at (617) 626-2384.
