The intent in condemning the values of the White Supremacy Party or Donald Trump who says anything the poorly educated and poorly uninformed can rally around is not the endorse the coronation of Killary Clinton.
It has long been known that Republicans use carefully coded words to disguise their intent, describe racist legislation, prevent minorities from voting...Ah! Yes! That Bogus Banner of Voter Fraud!
Shouldn't the condemnation of Donald Trump provoke you to consider what kind of a nation you want the US to be?
Do you really want to live in an Intolerant and Racist America?

Quoting Chauncey DeVega, Salon:
A decades-long pattern of racists appeals has left the Republican Party with no one but the racists
I think we have to be careful here, because despite the truth of much of what the author is saying, many in the GOP do not truly SEE themselves as racist. I think the reality here is that the racist white-supremaci st base of the GOP exists, and is quite strong actually, but it is not the entire party. The GOP has always been a horrible three-part marriage between these White Nationalists, the Religious Conservatives, and the "give everything to the rich" Oligarchy and its lackies. To keep the working-class divided and working-class whites in particular voting against their economic self-interest, selling these narratives of white-racial-ag grievement has been the strategy since Johnson signed the Civil Rights Act. But that doesn't necessarily mean everyone in the party are racists, just that there are a lot in the GOP who are more than willing to USE the racists politically for their own building of wealth and power. And after all this time, there are a lot of people who simply are Republicans out of Tribalism...the y always have been, they always will be, and they either simply don't pay attention to the narratives and even the issues, or they overlook them to preserve their identification with the GOP. What we need to do is attack that Tribal loyalty, we won't convince the racists to give up racism anytime soon.
Well stated, Buddha, and being from one of those southern states, it is an important lesson for those of us in the trenches, working to create awareness and support for either Bernie or HRC, or just your local legislator, County Commissioner or Councilperson. The key point being that by attacking Trump's rhetoric we are actually empowering them. They understand how outrageous their comments are, and our reaction is like salve on a wound. It is healing and palliative to a closet racist/bigot/mi sogynist to know they can repeat out loud these highly charged feelings they've suppressed for so long.
FOCUS: Donald Trump, President of the Confederacy
