Democratic Platform Committee Meeting, Day 2 Part 1 The Democratic National Committee held its platform meeting in Orlando, Florida for the 2016 elections. The platform includes raising the minimum wage to $15/per hour and immigration reform. Platform Committee Drafting Chair Rep. Elijah Cummings called on Democrats to not only focus on Republicans but to show Americans who Democrats are fighting for.
