Help Protect Dogs From Slaughter

Filth-covered walls. Blood-stained floors. Workers grabbing dog after dog with metal pincers and bashing them over the head with a wooden pole.

While the film may be a bit blurry, the cruelty that it captures is crystal clear.

When this video was shot in China, there were some 300 dogs in this one compound destined for slaughter. You can see them trapped behind the door. They can see what's coming because the crude, painful killing is done right in front of them! They bark and wail in terror and panic. 

 

Some still struggle to breathe after their throats are cut. Finally, their skin is ripped right off their bodies. 

 

The skins of these horrifically abused animals may eventually end up in closets and wardrobes around the world. 

A PETA Asia investigator visited leather-processing plants in China and documented the task of turning dogs' skin into work gloves, women's dress gloves, and other items—products that are exported throughout the world and sold to unsuspecting customers. 

For people buying leather clothing, there's no easy way to tell whose skin they're really in. 

Such powerful investigations into the global skins trade are making a difference for animals. Millions of people watched this footage and, as a result, many pledged not to purchase or wear leather ever again.
