A host from MSNBC extended an invitation to any of the 217 Republicans who voted for the repeal of Obamacare to come on her show for discussion. Not one accepted.
According to the Hill, Joy Reid, host of MSNBC’s “Am Joy,” offered each of the Republicans a lead spot on her show as an opportunity for the representatives to express their reasoning behind their vote. All 217 delegates declined.
During a segment on Reid’s show, she said, “My tireless producers reached out to each and every one of them to ask them to join us today.”
Reid, along with their Republican constituents, are obviously upset since the repeal will likely mean the loss of coverage for many people who depend on affordable healthcare to survive.
“I offered each of them the lead spot on this show this morning, to the one-on-one with me, to explain why they voted for the bill. And not a single one agreed … [out of ] all those names,” Reid added.
“217 people, no takers. Not a one,” she said.
