SPLC honors Heather Heyer at Civil Rights Memorial Center




The Civil Rights Memorial Center honors 40 men, women and children killed during the movement between 1954 and 1968.
Today, we added Heather Heyer to its Wall of Tolerance.
“Heather was a young white woman who was deeply involved in taking a stand against injustice, when she didn’t have to,” SPLC's Lecia Brooks said. “By speaking out for justice and equality, she embodied the spirit of the civil rights movement."
The SPLC today honored Heather Heyer – killed while protesting 
white supremacism in Charlottesville – by adding her name and 
image to the Wall of Tolerance inside…
