This is not great

VoteVets spends a lot of money on elections. In fact, we are one of the top outside spending organizations in America.

Unfortunately, that list of top spenders is mostly Republican groups like the NRA and Koch brothers’ outfits. VoteVets is one of the few progressive organizations up there. That’s because our brand allows us to run ads and get involved in states and races most progressive groups just can’t.

But here is the truth: as we approach the halfway point to our next, critical FEC deadline, we are short of the goals needed to fund the start of our program effectively. Not great.

So with the prospect of beating Trump and replacing McConnell on the line, we need to ask you to help us close that gap. Here it goes:

Can you make a $10 donation to VoteVets before our next official fundraising deadline? We will put it right to work starting our political program — work that could mean the difference between beating Trump and McConnell.

Last cycle, we ran ads defending Tammy Baldwin against attacks saying she was bad for veterans. We almost single-handedly flipped the Florida Senate race against Rick Scott. We were effective in Michigan. These are states we need to win in 2020.

Now we’re talking about the big one: beating Trump. And we need your help to get it done.
