Please consider adding your name:
My name is Melissa, and I'm a 19 year old college student in Chicago. I used to
love shopping at Forever 21.
Their clothes are cute and cheap, and as a busy and underfunded student, they
were a perfect solution.
However, recently Forever 21 revealed the true
reason as to why their clothes are so inexpensive -- they don't pay their
workers a fair wage.
Last week, Forever 21 sent out a letter to all full
time workers effectively ending their jobs, benefits, and reducing their hours
down to part time. These hardworking employees were notified days before their
health insurance was set to expire, their benefits were dismantled, and their
paid over time ended. This is unacceptable.
Join me in telling Forever 21 to respect their
workers by rewarding them reasonable benefits and overtime. In these hard times,
respecting your workers should be a top priority for corporations -- and we
won't stand for anything less.
Cheap clothes are nice -- but
only when they aren't the result of cheating hundreds of thousands of workers
out of a fair, honest wage.
Tell
Forever 21 to Pay Fair or We Won't Wear! by signing my petition
today.
Best,
