Do you drink water?

A generation fought long and hard to protect water,

to pass legislation, ensure enforcement and stop

Big Polluters!

We're allowing it to slip away as we witness

Mountain Top Removal destroying streams,

Coal Ash Dumps in Massachusetts with no

mandate to protect water and Big Polluters

gutting the EPA.

Please add your name and speak up for

CLEAN WATER!

Thanks for all you do!

If you drink water you need to see this email from our friends at Environment America before Wednesday. They've been petitioning the EPA to restore Clean Water Act protections to more than 20 million acres of wetlands and 2.5 million miles of streams that right now are at risk of unlimited pollution. They need our help, but we only have until Wednesday to add our voices.

Their urgent message is below. I've already signed on, can you do the same?

Thanks,

Last chance to save our watersThe drinking water for 117 million Americans. 20 million acres of wetlands. 2.5 million miles of streams. Right now, they’re all at risk of unchecked pollution. The good news is that the Environmental Protection Agency is considering a fix to the problem -- we just need to make sure they act.

Tell the EPA to protect our waters -- weigh in before the public comment period ends. We’re so close. The EPA is taking comments right now, and their question is simple: Should the Clean Water Act protect the streams and wetlands that feed and filter our waterways -- from the Chesapeake Bay to Puget Sound? So far, thousands of people have spoken up in support of protecting our waterways, but this is the last chance to weigh in.Will you help us hit our goal before the deadline? The opposition -- from the American Farm Bureau to ExxonMobil -- is pulling out all the stops to get the EPA to sit on its hands.

We can’t match their money or their hundreds of lobbyists. So if we’re going to drown them out, it’s going to be because each and every one of us took action.

Add your name and tell the EPA to say “no” to polluters. While you’re at it, can you forward this to 5 friends, too? This is our chance to protect the waterways we love and depend on all across the country. Together we can win. Let’s flood the EPA with comments between now and Wednesday.

Yours,

Margie Alt
