Earlier this week the Fort Collins Utility and Office of Sustainability and Economic Development jointly led a work session with City Council focused on accelerating Fort Collins' greenhouse goals.

A Rocky Mountain Institute report provided the technical foundation for accelerating Fort Collins' climate goals by 20 years, an 80% reduction by 2030. Four of the seven city council members expressed an interest in moving faster and seizing a leadership role for the country, while all council members expressed an interest in supporting concrete actions that can help Fort Collins tackle the tough challenges they face in making their ambitious goal a reality.
