Breaking: Russian plane crash in Sinai a terrorist attack - Russian Security Service | 17 Nov 2015 | The Russian plane crash in Sinai, Egypt, was caused by a terrorist attack as traces of explosives have been found in the wreckage of the plane, Federal Security Service director Aleksandr Bortnikov told President Vladimir Putin. "We can say that that [Sinai plane crash] was a terror act," Bortnikov told Putin. According to the FSB chief, experts analyzed passengers' belongings as well as the parts of the plane. "After the examination on all these objects, we have found traces of a foreign-made explosive substance," Bortnikov said. "During the flight, a homemade device with the power of 1.5 kilograms of TNT was detonated. As a result, the plane fell apart in the air, which can be explained by the huge scattering of the fuselage parts of the plane," he added.

Putin: ISIS financed from 40 countries, including G20 members | 16 Oct. 2015 | President Vladimir Putin says he's shared Russian intelligence data on Islamic State financing with his G20 colleagues: the terrorists appear to be financed from 40 countries, including some G20 member states. During the summit, "I provided examples based on our data on the financing of different Islamic State (IS, formerly ISIS/ISIL) [but still I-CIA-SIS] units by private individuals. This money, as we have established, comes from 40 countries and, there are some of the G20 members among them," Putin told the journalists.

US created Daesh terrorists: GOP presidential candidate Santorum | 15 Nov 2015 | Republican presidential candidate Rick Santorum has blamed the United States for the creation of Daesh (ISIL) [I-CIA-SIS], after the terrorist group claimed responsibility for the Paris attacks. At least 129 people were killed in multiple coordinated attacks on Friday night in one of the deadliest assaults to hit the French capital since the World War II. Some 352 were also injured -- including 99 who are in critical condition -- in the attacks...ISIL terrorists, who were initially trained by the CIA in Jordan in 2012 to destabilize the Syrian government, now control parts of Syria and Iraq.

Police 'Let Fugitive Terror Suspect Go'  --A search is under way for Saleh Abdeslam who was pulled over by police but then released despite being identified by authorities. --French police getting 'help' from the FBI (CNN) | 16 Nov 2015 | A man wanted over the Paris terror attacks had been questioned and released by police hours after the massacres, it is claimed. Salah Abdeslam, 26, reportedly helped with logistics and rented a black Volkswagen Polo used by the gunmen who stormed the Bataclan concert hall and killed at least 89 people on Friday night. He was apparently spoken to by officers on Saturday morning when they pulled over a car carrying three people near the Belgian border. Police then checked Abdeslam's ID and subsequently let him go, officials told the Associated Press.

ISIS Threatens to Attack Washington, D.C. in Video; Security Increased Across U.S. | 16 Nov 2015 | ISIS delivered a new threat to the United States in a video released today, claiming that it will carry out an attack on the nation's capital. The terror group, which quickly claimed credit for the deadly Paris attacks last Friday, said that the carnage in France was just the beginning. Security is ramping up across the country. There is a heavy police presence in Times Square, and U.S. Capitol Police sent a security awareness reminder to congressional offices today. U.S. Park Police have also increased patrols to protect "treasured icons."

Lindsey Graham: 'There's a 9/11 coming' | 16 Nov 2015 | GOP presidential candidate Sen. Lindsey Graham warned Sunday that "there is a 9/11 coming" if the United States does not play a leading role in a ground war against ISIS. In an interview on CNN's "State of the Union," Graham said he hopes France will invoke a NATO provision that would draw its allies into a war against ISIS. "They should. The world should be at war with ISIL," the South Carolina senator said.

CIA chief warns Islamic State may have other attacks ready [He would know!] | 16 Nov 2015 | CIA Director John Brennan warned on Monday that the attacks in Paris claimed by the extremist Islamic State movement were not a "one-off event" and that the militants may have similar operations ready to launch. Foiling those plots, however, could prove difficult because Europe's intelligence and security resources are severely stretched trying to keep track of the hundreds of European extremists who have returned home from fighting in Syria and Iraq. The Islamic State, which threatened in a new video on Monday to attack in Washington, appears to have formed an external operations branch [Langley, VA?] that may have readied follow-up strikes to the Paris attacks, he said.

French PM: More Attacks Being Planned --Manuel Valls warned that terrorists are planning attacks around Europe [How does he know this?] | 16 Nov 2015 | The French PM knew attacks were being prepared and has said that more are still being planned in France and across Europe. Manuel Valls said French intelligence services had prevented several attacks since the summer but warned: "Terrorism could strike again in the days or weeks to come." Mr Valls spoke about the threat across Europe as David Cameron confirmed seven attacks on a smaller scale being planned in the UK in the last six months have been stopped.

168 Raids In France, and 104 People Under House Arrest | 16 Nov 2015 | One hundred sixty-eight locations have been raided and 104 people have been placed under house arrest in the past 48 hours in France, the interior minister, Bernard Cazeneuve, said on Monday. "It's just a start, these operations are going to continue, the response of the Republic will be huge, will be total," he said. "The one who targets the Republic, the Republic will catch him."

Paris Attacks: 150 Raids as France Goes to 'War With Terrorism' --'We are at war with terrorism.' --PM Valls | 16 Nov 2015 | French police launched dozens of raids overnight as part of a colossal manhunt in wake of Paris's deadly terror attacks. Prime Minister Manuel Valls told the RTL radio more than 150 raids were carried out across the country. The searches took place throughout the country, according to BFM TV, including in Toulouse, Grenoble, Bobigny and Lyon. Police in Lyon arrested five people and seized a rocket launcher, according to BFM TV.

French jets bomb ISIS stronghold of Raqqa, Syria; few may have been killed | 16 Nov 2015 | The French air force carried out bombing missions on ISIS [I-CIA-SIS] targets in Raqqa, Syria, for a second day in a row. ISIS claims Raqqa as the capital of its so-called caliphate. On Monday, France targeted a command center, a recruitment center, an ammunition storage base and a training camp in the city, the French military said. On Sunday, the air force struck similar strategic targets in multiple sorties...

More than half the nation's governors say Syrian refugees not welcome | 16 Nov 2015 | More than half the nation's governors -- 27 states -- say they oppose letting Syrian refugees into their states, although the final say on this contentious immigration issue will fall to the federal government. States protesting the admission of refugees range from Alabama and Georgia, to Texas and Arizona, to Michigan and Illinois, to Maine and New Hampshire. Among these 27 states, all but one have Republican governors. The announcements came after authorities revealed that at least one of the suspects believed to be involved in the Paris terrorist attacks entered Europe among the current wave of Syrian refugees.

Ohio Polls Showed Pot Legalization Winning...But Then It Failed, 2:1 | 13 Nov 2015 | In the lead-up to the November 3 referendum on pot legalization in Ohio, reputable mainstream polls show it winning. Then, amidst the usual "glitches" that distinguish the Buckeye State's electronic elections, it officially failed by a 2:1 margin. The outcome is a virtual statistical impossibility...In both 2004 and 2015, the vast majority of votes were cast on electronic machines owned by private corporations, with proprietary software. When a federal judge mandated a recount in a class action suit in 2004, 56 of Ohio's 88 counties failed to produce the required documentation.
