Breaking: Russian plane crash in Sinai a terrorist attack - Russian Security Service | 17 Nov 2015 | The Russian plane crash in Sinai, Egypt, was caused by a terrorist attack as traces of explosives have been found in the wreckage of the plane, Federal Security Service director Aleksandr Bortnikov told President Vladimir Putin. "We can say that that [Sinai plane crash] was a terror act," Bortnikov told Putin. According to the FSB chief, experts analyzed passengers' belongings as well as the parts of the plane. "After the examination on all these objects, we have found traces of a foreign-made explosive substance," Bortnikov said. "During the flight, a homemade device with the power of 1.5 kilograms of TNT was detonated. As a result, the plane fell apart in the air, which can be explained by the huge scattering of the fuselage parts of the plane," he added.
Putin: ISIS financed from 40 countries, including G20 members | 16 Oct. 2015 | President Vladimir Putin says he's shared Russian intelligence data on Islamic State financing with his G20 colleagues: the terrorists appear to be financed from 40 countries, including some G20 member states. During the summit, "I provided examples based on our data on the financing of different Islamic State (IS, formerly ISIS/ISIL) [but still I-CIA-SIS] units by private individuals. This money, as we have established, comes from 40 countries and, there are some of the G20 members among them," Putin told the journalists.

At least 129 people were killed in multiple coordinated attacks on Friday night in one of the deadliest assaults to hit the French capital since the World War II. Some 352 were also injured -- including 99 who are in critical condition -- in the attacks...ISIL terrorists, who were initially trained by the CIA in Jordan in 2012 to destabilize the Syrian government, now control parts of Syria and Iraq.

Salah Abdeslam, 26, reportedly helped with logistics and rented a black Volkswagen Polo used by the gunmen who stormed the Bataclan concert hall and killed at least 89 people on Friday night. He was apparently spoken to by officers on Saturday morning when they pulled over a car carrying three people near the Belgian border. Police then checked Abdeslam's ID and subsequently let him go, officials told the Associated Press.

CIA chief warns Islamic State may have other attacks ready [He would know!] | 16 Nov 2015 | CIA Director John Brennan warned on Monday that the attacks in Paris claimed by the extremist Islamic State movement were not a "one-off event" and that the militants may have similar operations ready to launch. Foiling those plots, however, could prove difficult because Europe's intelligence and security resources are severely stretched trying to keep track of the hundreds of European extremists who have returned home from fighting in Syria and Iraq. The Islamic State, which threatened in a new video on Monday to attack in Washington, appears to have formed an external operations branch [Langley, VA?] that may have readied follow-up strikes to the Paris attacks, he said.

Manuel Valls said French intelligence services had prevented several attacks since the summer but warned: "Terrorism could strike again in the days or weeks to come." Mr Valls spoke about the threat across Europe as David Cameron confirmed seven attacks on a smaller scale being planned in the UK in the last six months have been stopped.

Ohio Polls Showed Pot Legalization Winning...But Then It Failed, 2:1 | 13 Nov 2015 | In the lead-up to the November 3 referendum on pot legalization in Ohio, reputable mainstream polls show it winning. Then, amidst the usual "glitches" that distinguish the Buckeye State's electronic elections, it officially failed by a 2:1 margin. The outcome is a virtual statistical impossibility...In both 2004 and 2015, the vast majority of votes were cast on electronic machines owned by private corporations, with proprietary software. When a federal judge mandated a recount in a class action suit in 2004, 56 of Ohio's 88 counties failed to produce the required documentation.
