THE DIRTY ENERGY KOCH BROTHERS ARE ATTACKING LIBRARIES

This isn't the first time!

THE KOCH BROTHERS ARE ATTACKING LIBRARIES

GOAL: $10,000.00
Dear Friends,
The Koch Brothers have finally launched their attack on libraries.
On Thursday, the Koch Brother's super PAC "Americans for Prosperity" started robocalls against the Plainfield IL library referendum. They have targeted the library for defeat as part of their anti-tax agenda. "Americans for Prosperity" is good at quoting facts that don't exist and slinging mud at the common good. We need your help to answer this Koch funded anti-library smear campaign now, and your help in future to build a defense against their anti-library agenda.

Americans for Prosperity, the Koch Brothers super PAC, is targeting the library campaign in Plainfield IL this week with anti-tax robocalls. We've got the tape. And we need your help! Take the pledge to support libraries today at http://action.everylibrary.org/pledge... and donate today to give us the resources to correct the record and reach more voters for libraries at https://votelibraries.nationbuilder.c.... Get the facts straight from the library at http://bit.ly/1QTMaHk.

Read the library's facts from the director on the referendum here or visit the vote yes committee's website here.

YOU CAN HELP TODAY IN TWO BIG WAYS:

Donate now so we can buy the pro-library / Vote Libraries ads needed to overcome this anti-library disinformation campaign from the Koch Brothers. We're asking for $50 now or $10 a month. That's $50 now because it's urgent. Or $10 a month because this won't be a one-off.
then:

Share the word about what is happening by sharing this page via Facebook or Twitter. We need to identify and activate more activists for libraries across the country. The Koch Brothers are effective because they have huge money AND 2.3 million people on their mailing list. Libraries don't have either. But with your help we can build a force for libraries in this country. Share this link with your friends, family, and followers around the country. Ask them to sign up and stand up!

If you can't give today, please sign the pledge to support libraries and learn about how you can help fight for libraries across the United States.

This is the first Koch Brothers anti-library campaign that we know about. But if they are now spending money against libraries - and if they prevail on Tuesdayin Plainfield - it opens the door for them to more. We have had local Tea Party types come out against libraries. But this is different. Your donation will help us stand against the Koch Brother's anti-tax / anti-library agenda.
Thank you for supporting libraries, librarians, and EveryLibrary
John Chrastka, Founder
P.S. When we first got EveryLibrary started, I knew the love for libraries was out there and ready to be activated. I'm disgusted by this anti-library, anti-community agenda. Help us answer it.
