VoteVets.org: Blunt: 45% - Kander: 40%

VoteVets

Jason Kander served as an Army Intelligence Officer in Afghanistan, working to root out corruption in that nation's government. When he came home, he got right to work on the same mission in the Missouri State House and then as Secretary of State.

Now he's running for the U.S. Senate against incumbent Republican Senator Roy Blunt. Not only has Roy Blunt misled reporters and constituents about his Vietnam deferments, but he did so while voting to send young men and women to this generation's war and against expanding the health care they deserve when they return.

Here's the truth: Jason Kander can win. We can elect a progressive veteran from Missouri as a part of a new generation of leaders in the U.S. Senate. But only if we stand together right now.

This race is close. Take a look at the latest polling average:

Missouri Senate Real Clear Politics Polling Average
Roy Blunt (Rep.) 45%
Jason Kander (Dem.) 40%

Winning this race would mean flipping the Senate, and that's why the Koch Brothers and a Karl Rove-backed group are already pouring millions into the race to defeat Jason. But if we stand together, we will win.

Electing progressive veterans like Tammy Duckworth and Jason Kander would be a tremendous victory for veterans, military family members, and those who care about them. That's why your contribution is so important.

All my best,
