Let's change the world!
As Bernie said - "We must launch a political revolution which engages millions of Americans from all walks of life in the struggle for real change. This country belongs to all of us, not just the billionaire class. And that’s what this campaign is all about."
The campaign has ended, but the work continues. Re-commit to the Team today, and let's work together to achieve Bernie's vision.
A description of the teams:
Grassroots Media Team - Team will conduct press communications, digital/social media, and media production. Team will focus on launching social media campaigns in support of candidates and issues, ordering local press hits in critical media markets for candidates, and the production of still and motion media for candidates.
Research Team - Team will focus on carrying out political research for potential and endorsed candidates – finding progressive champions, researching them, and writing short bios about endorsed candidates. Team will also work to find and research ballot initiatives.
Voter and Volunteer Contact Team - Team will focus on operating both the calling and texting programs. Team will also include Out-of-District/State Canvass Launch program, which will recruit volunteers not resident in district to travel to district for a day, weekend, or week of door-knocking focused action.
Support/Help Team - Team will operate to answer emails, support phonebankers needing live chat assistance, aid in the creation and approval of volunteer-led events, and assist other team members, volunteers, and supporters. Will combine many of the functions of Help Desk, Livechat, and Events Support and Approval under one umbrella.
Citizen Lobbyist Team - Team of volunteer citizen lobbyists will work at the state house and senate level to pass progressive legislation. The team will be structured by state, and will likely begin with 3-5 states. Team will launch October 1.
Direct Action Team - Team whose focus is to organize direct actions in concert with our Citizen Lobbyist Team. Both teams will organize concurrently around key ballot measures in states. Activities will be focused on creating strategic disruptions in the status-quo, and will be incorporated into a particular issues campaign’s theory of change. Team will launch October 1.
