VoteVets.org,: We must question the president on war

VoteVets

All weekend, you couldn't turn on the television without hearing a talking head or politician praising Donald Trump for sending missiles into Syria.

Out of the 20 largest newspapers in the nation, 18 had good things to say about the attack. Even former Obama administration officials were praising the attack that happened without Congressional authorization.

At best, it was a minority opinion that President Trump should go to Congress for the authorization to use military force in Syria, and that his newfound concern for Syria's children should cause him to reconsider his refugee ban.

But here's what you need to know: it will often be hard to find anyone willing to questions the president's decisions to use force. But VoteVets will when we must. And when we do, there's no one more powerful than veterans and military families in that effort. But we can't do it alone.

Here's the truth: Donald Trump is a reckless, impulsive, and dangerous president.

That means our work, on this issues and many others, has never been more important. And so far we've been quite effective. Your support makes that possible.

All our best,

- The team at VoteVets
