If we don’t take action now, the internet as we know it could be a thing of the past.
Under current FCC rules, internet providers are banned from speeding up or slowing down your connection based on what content you choose to access. This net neutrality ensures the World Wide Web is accessible to all, not just those who can afford a special subscription.
Phone companies and internet providers have no right to throttle your connection based on who you’re talking to or what TV shows you’re watching. If they get their way, telecom giants will create virtual “fast lanes” for content they approve of, and “slow lanes” for everything else.
