VoteVets.org,: Major General (ret.) Paul Eaton: Why these emails are so important

VoteVets.org has worked to protect Veterans and protect our nation.
Please subscribe to and support VoteVets.org

VoteVets

In a second, I am about to ask you to do something very important in our shared effort to resist the policies of the Trump administration. I am going to ask you to donate to VoteVets. But before I do, please allow me to explain why your contribution is so important.

Here's the truth: there are few organizations more decisive than VoteVets when they are engaged in a political battle. I saw it firsthand when I led our effort to support President Obama's nuclear deal with Iran. And we've all seen it since Trump was sworn in.

But here's something a lot of people don't know. Most of the contributions VoteVets receives -- like 99 percent of them -- come from people giving small donations.

Good people chipping in here and there to support VoteVets' good work. And a lot of those contributions come in response to emails like this one.

That means from time to time, we have to ask. And today is one of those days.

Can I count on you to make a $10 contribution to VoteVets today as a way of saying you are willing to stand with those who have led the effort to resist and stand up to President Trump?

VoteVets strength comes from the people who power the organization. That means the veterans who are willing to make their voices heard on issue after issue. It's the military family members who serve with us even if they aren't in uniform. And it's everyone who is willing to make a donation to make VoteVets go.

Thank you in advance for adding yours today.

All my best,

Major General (ret.) Paul Eaton
