CLG Exclusive: Shaming & Shunning: The People Who Do It, & Its Likely Effects (Part I), by Michael Rectenwald I can tell you a little about shaming and shunning -- what types of people initiate it, the way it builds, and how it is maintained. I can also speak to the kinds of responses the shamed and shunned are liable to take in response. The effects of shaming and shunning are indeed variable, but some mass responses are predictable. In my case, I gave an interview with the Washington Square News, NYU's student newspaper; one particular "colleague" of mine found my views intolerable.

The waste is headed to the Waste Isolation Pilot Plant (WIPP), near Carlsbad, New Mexico.

Claire McCaskill and the chairman of the Missouri Democratic Party have called on her to resign. Chappelle-Nadal posted the comment on her personal Facebook page, which is not open to the public...Later in the thread, in response to another commenter, she wrote: "I hope Trump is assassinated!" She later deleted the comment.

Democrats move to formally censure Trump over Charlottesville | 16 Aug 2017 | House Democrats are introducing a formal resolution to denounce President Donald Trump for saying that "both sides" are to blame for a violent encounter between white supremacists and neo-Nazis and the activists who showed up to protest them. While the censure is unlikely to see traction in the GOP-led House, it serves as a rebuke to Trump and mirrors some of the Republican criticism the president has faced for his remarks...Just three Democrats have signed onto the measure, but Rep. Jerrold Nadler, D-N.Y., says he expects more to follow.

The measure's sponsor is Democratic state Senator Don Harmon. The measure will request that police in Illinois categorize and treat neo-Nazi groups as terrorists.

NY governor pushes 'Charlottesville Provisions' to make violent protests a hate crime | 15 Aug 2017 | [Insane globalist dirt-bag/nuclear power pimp] New York Governor Andrew Cuomo wants the state to prosecute violent protests against "protected classes" as a hate crime, suggesting higher criminal penalties. His so-called "Charlottesville Provisions" are a response to the violence in Virginia. Cuomo has proposed to amend the state's hate crime laws to include rioting or incitement to riot against protected groups, according to the governor's office. New York law protects groups and individuals on the basis of race, national origin, ancestry, gender, religion, age, disability or sexual orientation. Cuomo also suggested increasing penalties for engaging in a riot against the so-called protected groups.

Social media networks Twitter Inc and LinkedIn, music service Spotify Ltd and security firm Cloudflare Inc were among the companies cutting off services to hate groups or removing material that they said spread hate [or views which the Deep State dislikes]. Earlier in the week, Facebook Inc [FaCIAbook], Alphabet Inc [NSA best bud, Google, which routinely relegates the CLG Newsletter to the sp-m bin] and GoDaddy Inc also took steps to block hate groups [and *others*].

Julian Assange asks why the US said nothing when Obama supported Ukrainian neo-Nazis | 14 Aug 2017 | Wikileaks founder Julian Assange has sent a series of highly apposite Tweets regarding the recent right-wing versus left-wing protests in Charlottesville that have resulting in one death and multiple injuries. In one tweetAssange juxtaposed an image of a neo-Nazi torch march in Kiev with the far-right torch march in Charlottesville. Apart from the torches, it is clear that the Ukrainian fascists were far more equipped for violence as they were wearing bullet-proof combat gear and facial coverings. The Ukrainian neo-Nazis got scant political coverage in the Western media in spite of the fact that their actions included overthrowing a legitimate government as recognised by the United Nations and the installation of a fascist regime which continues to wage a war of aggression on the peoples of Donbass.

Bombshell Connection Between Charlottesville, Soros, and CIA | 15 Aug 2017 | As evidenced this weekend, a civil war is brewing in this country, laying the foundation for a violent coup to take out President Trump. Charlottesville 'Unite the Right' Organizer Was Occupy Wall St. Activist and Obama Supporter | 14 Aug 2017 | His name is Jason Kessler. He is the one cited as the organizer of the now infamous "Unite the Right" rally in Charlottesville, Virginia. The thing is, Mr. Kessler's arrival on the "alt right" and/or "White Nationalist" scene didn't occur until November 2016. That's right -- Kessler didn't start his white nationalist activism until after Donald Trump won the White House. Prior to that it appears he participated in the far left/socialist Occupy Wall Street movement as noted by the left-leaning Southern Poverty Law Center.

Trump: Left- and right-wing extremists resorted to violence during rally in Virginia | 15 Aug 2017 | U.S. President Donald Trump unabashedly insisted on Tuesday that both left- and right-wing extremists resorted to violence during a weekend rally by right-wing groups in Virginia, and that some present were peacefully protesting plans to remove a Confederate monument when the upheaval began. Trump, taking questions from reporters in the lobby of Trump Tower in New York, reverted to his initial comments blaming "many sides" for Saturday's violence in Charlottesville, a day after [again] explicitly condemning the Ku Klux Klan, neo-Nazi and white supremacist groups...Many of the rally participants were seen carrying firearms, sticks and shields. Some also wore helmets. Counter-protesters likewise came equipped with sticks, helmets and shields.

'We fought them in federal court and we beat them in federal court. (But) it upended all our security arrangements' --'The denial of first amendment rights... led to the political violence that happened yesterday,' he said --Also blamed police who he said 'refused to do their job' and failed to 'follow through with security' measures --Kessler was saved by the cops who rushed him to the safety of a local police station | 13 Aug 2017 | The organizer of the yesterday's Unite the Right rally was mobbed as he tried to give a press conference blaming the city and cops for the death of a woman protesting the march. Jason Kessler, who was behind the march that turned violent yesterday, leaving one dead and at least 19 injured, was punched and tackled to the ground after the surrounding crowd at his presser turned nasty. The alt-right leader had spoken for mere minutes before he was surrounded by an angry mob outside City Hall in Charlottesville, Virginia.

The grand jury decision in U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia comes roughly a month after Awan was arrested at Dulles airport in Virginia trying to board a plane to Pakistan, where his family is from...The case has put renewed scrutiny on Wasserman Schultz for keeping Awan on the payroll for months, even after a criminal investigation was revealed and he was barred from the House IT network.

U.S. talks tough on trade deficit as NAFTA discussions begin | 16 Aug 2017 | The United States drew a hard line for renegotiating the North American Free Trade Agreement on Wednesday, demanding major concessions aimed at slashing trade deficits with Mexico and Canada and boosting U.S. content for autos. At the start of talks in Washington, U.S. President Donald Trump's top trade adviser, Robert Lighthizer, said Trump was not interested in "a mere tweaking" of the 23-year-old pact, which Trump has threatened to scrap without major changes. "We feel that NAFTA has fundamentally failed many, many Americans and needs major improvement," Lighthizer, the U.S. trade representative, said at the start of the talks, which reflected Trump's relentless [and accurate] criticism that NAFTA has caused massive U.S. manufacturing job losses.

Forests, Lands, Natural Resource Operations and Rural Development Minister Doug Donaldson said the decision to end trophy hunting is "not a matter of numbers [of bears], it's a matter of society has come to the point in B.C. where they are no longer in favour of the grizzly bear trophy hunt." [Yes!]
