Many of the companies that were awarded leases that will allow them to continue to threaten the coastal communities in the Gulf Of Mexico, including BP America, Chevron ,ExxonMobil Corporation and Shell, also happen to have the highest numbers of offshore drilling environmental and safety violations between 2000-2012.
