Furious Russia accuses US of supporting ISIS after airstrike kills 62 Syrian troops | 18 Sept 2016 | Enraged Russian officials have accused America of backing ISIS [I-CIA-SIS] after a deadly airstrike killed at least 62 Syrian troops and allowed the twisted terrorists to take a key military position. Syria's military claim the Americans have bombed an eastern base surrounded by ISIS militants - allowing the extremists to advance...62 Syrian soldiers were killed and over 100 injured in the airstrike. The bombing took place on al-Tharda Mountain in the region of Deir ez-Zor. A Russian spokeswoman blasted: "We are reaching a really terrifying conclusion for the whole world: That the White House is defending Islamic State. Now there can be no doubts about that." [I never had any doubts. It's a no-brainer. Ditto al-CIAduh.]
Israel has '200 nukes all pointed at Iran', former US secretary of state Colin Powell says in leaked private email that has Washington on edge | 16 Sept 2016 | In a private email exchange last year leaked this week by hackers, former Secretary of State Colin Powell discussed Israel's nuclear weapons capability with a friend, saying the country has 200 warheads. Though Israel is widely believed to have developed nukes decades ago, it has never declared itself to be a nuclear state. The existence of its weapons program is considered classified information by both the Israeli and U.S. governments. Powell, a retired Army general who has served as White House national security adviser and chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, told The Associated Press on Friday through a spokeswoman he was referring to public estimates of Israel's nukes.
As American Infrastructure Crumbles, U.S. Announces $38 Billion Israel Military Aid Package | 13 Sept 2016 | The United States announced on Tuesday that an agreement has been reached with Israel on a 38 billion 10-year military aid package for 2019 through 2028. Senior officials from both sides will sign the agreement on Wednesday in a ceremony in the Treaty Room at the State Department in Washington at 9 P.M. (Israel time). "This memorandum of understanding constitutes the single largest pledge of bilateral military assistance in U.S. history," said the State Department in its announcement of the agreement.
Massive sinkhole leaks more than 200 MILLION gallons of RADIOACTIVE water from fertilizer plant into Florida's main source of drinking water --Mosaic discovered the sinkhole at the plant in August but did not inform the public of its existence for three weeks --Company said there is 'no risk' of contamination to drinking water --Incident comes less than a year after Mosaic settled $2billion federal lawsuit with the US Environmental Protection Agency | 17 Sept 2016 | A massive sinkhole at a Florida fertilizer plant has caused more than 200 million gallons of radioactive water to leak into a main source of the state's drinking water. The sinkhole, which measures 45 feet in diameter and is 300 feet deep, opened up beneath a pile of waste material at Mosaic, the world's largest supplier of phosphate. A storage pond containing 215 million gallons of radioactive water sat atop the waste mineral pile and has drained into the Floridian aquifer system, which supplies drinking water to millions of residents.
Tens of thousands protest in Europe against Atlantic 'free trade' deals | 17 Sept 2016 | Tens of thousands of people protested in European cities on Saturday against planned 'free trade' deals with the United States and Canada they say would undermine democracy and lower food safety, environmental and labor standards. Organizers -- an alliance of environmental groups, labor unions and opposition parties -- said 320,000 people took part in rallies in seven German cities, including Berlin, Hamburg, Munich and Frankfurt. Police put the figure at around 180,000. Smaller protests were also planned in other European cities, including Vienna and Salzburg in Austria and Gothenburg and Stockholm in Sweden.
Antitrust issues loom large in Monsanto-Bayer deal | 18 Sept 2016 | Monsanto Chief Executive Hugh Grant sees "minimal" antitrust issues with Bayer’s purchase of his company, but he insisted on a $2 billion insurance policy against those very issues. The 2 billion is a breakup fee that Bayer must pay if regulators reject the 66 billion deal, and it was a priority for Monsanto during negotiations. Monsanto rejected Bayer's first offer in May partly because it didn't contain a breakup fee, and when Bayer later offered a 1 billion fee Monsanto said it was "insufficient to ensure deal certainty." Monsanto's insistence on the breakup fee highlights the uncertain nature of antitrust enforcement around the world, especially in a politically sensitive sector such as 'agriculture.'
One big terrorist organization: Bayer nears acquisition of Monsanto - sources | 13 Sept 2016 | Chemicals and healthcare group Bayer AG is poised to announce the acquisition of U.S. [deadly] seeds company Monsanto Co on Wednesday for more than 66 billion, clinching the biggest deal of the year, people familiar with the matter said. By accepting Bayer's offer, the largest cash acquisition proposal on record, Monsanto is set to give the German company a shot at grabbing the top spot in the fast-consolidating farm supplies industry, combining its crop science business with Monsanto's strength in seeds. It will also set the stage for the deal to be closely scrutinized by antitrust regulators.
Race tightens in projected U.S. Electoral College vote: Reuters/Ipsos --GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump projected to win Florida | 17 Sept 2016 | An election analysis conducted in the Reuters/Ipsos States of the Nation project shows that the race has tightened considerably over the past few weeks, with Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump projected to win Florida, an essential battleground state, if the election were held today. The project, which is based on a weekly tracking poll of more than 15,000 Americans, shows that the 2016 presidential race could end in a photo finish on Nov. 8, with the major-party candidates running nearly even in the Electoral College, the body that ultimately selects the president. The States of the Nation project, which delivers a weekly tally of support for the candidates in every state, shows that the race has tightened in several traditional battlegrounds.
Democratic Super PAC to Pay For Dirt on Donald Trump | 14 Sept 2016 | Hillary Clinton ally David Brock wants your Donald Trump dirt, and he's willing to pay top dollar for it. Correct the Record, one of the well-funded super PACs Brock founded, is creating a WikiLeaks-style project to pay anonymous tipsters for scoops, which they're calling Trump Leaks. While the effort is focused on uncovering previously unreleased audio and video recordings, Brock is interested in just about anything on Trump - as long as it's new, unflattering and procured legally.
Hillary Clinton may not recover from her pneumonia until late October | 13 Sept 2016 | FIX: What's the prognosis for pneumonia? How long is the typical recovery time for a patient of Mrs. Clinton's age and medical history? Dr. Steven Simpson, medical director of the Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care at The University of Kansas Hospital: Men and women 65 years of age and up -- e.g. both presidential candidates -- are particularly susceptible to pneumonia, which is a very common cause of death among the elderly. However, the prognosis for pneumonia that does not require hospitalization is quite good. Although a person of this age should be able to function to do their job within a few days - if they take adequate time to rest and recuperate - longer if they try to work through it, it generally takes four to six weeks to feel back to normal, in terms of stamina.

Because Scott Walker asked --Leaked court documents from 'John Doe investigation' in Wisconsin lay bare pervasive influence of corporate c-sh on modern US elections | 14 Sept 2016 | Scott Walker was under pressure. It was September 2011, and earlier that year the first-term governor had turned himself into the poster boy of hardline Republican politics by passing the notorious anti-union measure Act 10, stripping public sector unions of collective bargaining rights. Now he was under attack himself, pursued by progressive groups who planned revenge by forcing him into a recall election...He asked his main fundraiser, Kate Doner, to write him a briefing note on how they could raise enough m-ney to win the election. "Corporations," she said. "Go heavy after them to give."
