Rupert Murdoch — the guy who’s under investigation in England for phone hacking, influence peddling and bribery — wants to get his mitts on the Los Angeles Times and the Chicago Tribune^1,2. Federal Communications Commission Chairman Julius Genachowski is trying to change the agency’s ownership rules to pave the way for Murdoch to get exactly what he wants. Worse, Genachowski and Murdoch are keeping this all very hush-hush, hoping you won't notice.³
These changes wouldn’t just benefit Murdoch. If the FCC proposal passes, one company could own the major daily newspaper, two TV stations and up to eight radio stations in your town. And that one company could be your Internet provider, too. What is the FCC thinking?!?

11years. That’s how long we’ve been waiting for the promise of Cape Wind’s clean, renewable energy and new, green jobs. A 130–turbine wind farm proposed for Nantucket Sound, Cape Wind has cleared every federal and state review, passed environmental muster, been given the go–ahead by the Department of the Interior, and has the support of Governor Patrick and 80 percent of Massachusetts citizens. So, why isn’t Cape Wind up and running? Because the Alliance to Protect Nantucket Sound, a pseudo-environmental organization backed and led by fossil fuel magnate Bill Koch, is hell bent on blocking it.

Today we say: enough is enough.

We’re proud to announce the launch of Cape Wind Now, a campaign that promises to shine a bright light on the connections between billionaire Bill Koch, his fossil fuel interests, and the Alliance to Protect Nantucket Sound, the principal opponent to Cape Wind. Koch’s influence as the Alliance’s chairman and a principal funder continues to be felt in the Alliance’s relentless delay tactics, including most recently, its call for a Congressional investigation.
