Considering our lifestyles and the changes that the 20Th Century created based on fossil fuels, coal, oil, natural gas, our existence is surrounded by our ability to employ the decomposition of prehistory to enhance our lives. Nowhere is the presence of fossil fuels in our daily lives absent although largely ignored.

We are surrounded by plastic, foods fertilized and transported by those fuels, homes and offices heated, cooled and lighted by those fuels, clothing and foot ware integrated in the mix. Goods and produce reach our malls and supermarkets from great distances via container laden vessels or diesel fueled trucks. Energy intensive products all!
.The wonder of cheap fuels have increased food production to feed the multitudes beyond a reasonable carrying capacity and harvest the oceans to depletion.

Cities and societies were constructed based on the premise of continued cheap energy. Populations grew to exceed sustainable capacity blessed by cheap oil.

We ignored the environmental costs and the degradation of our being.

In the last election, 35% of Mass voters cast their ballots for a candidate with no money who never campaigned. The Kennedy veneer is gone with this opposition and his comtempt is visible. The move by Caroline Kennedy tarnishes whatever image was left. Her heritage only goes so far before she reveals what a joke she is.
