Trump Gives Military Green Light To Escalate Afghanistan War
by Patrick Martin
President Donald Trump announced a major escalation of the US war in Afghanistan in a nationally televised speech Monday night, although he gave no details either about the number of additional troops that will be sent or the extent or duration of the military commitment. Trump also made menacing threats against Pakistan in remarks clearly crafted in close coordination with the top military generals who dominate his administration.
Propaganda On Venezuela Busted
There is a full scale propaganda war going on against Venezuela. Speaking at a press conference in Cartagena, Columbia with Columbian President Juan Manuel Santos, US Vice President Mike Pence said that “Venezuela is sliding into dictatorship” and that “the United States will not stand by” as democracy “crumbles”. “That once rich nation’s collapse into authoritarianism has pushed it into poverty and caused untold suffering for the Venezuelan people,” he continued. “We must all raise our voices to condemn the Venezuelan government for its abuse of power and abuse of its own people and we must do it now.” Following the comments of US Vice-president Mike Pence in Cartagena, a journalist went to Catia Caracas to ask an ordinary Venezuelan to go out and buy 8 everyday items within 30 mins – watch what happens.

Shia Insurrection In Saudi Arabia; The Battle For Awamiya
by Thomas C Mountain
This short view of an almost unknown urban war in the midst of the Saudi oilfields, with 2 million barrels a day being pumped via Awamiya alone (20% of total Saudi exports) with the House of Saud, after Russia, being the 2nd largest oil producer worldwide, should be sending shivers down the spines of those occupying the seats of power both east and west.
Tough To Handle! … Heroes And Sheroes In The USA
by Sally Dugman
These fine people exist across the world. They exist in every country. They are part of the group who are my heroes and sheroes because they act in service for help of compromised others (even at peril to their own lives sometimes) and reflect the values that bring hope to humanity.
Why Are All Those Racists So Terrified?
by Robert J Burrowes
Racism is a manifestation of the mental illness of elites manipulating us into doing their insane bidding. Unfortunately, many people are easy victims of this manipulation because they are full of suppressed terror and self-hatred too.

Soil, Monsanto And The Agribusiness Giants: Conning The World With Snake Oil And Doughnuts
by Colin Todhunter
In their rush to readily promote neoliberal dogma and corporate-inspired PR, many government officials, scientists and journalists take as given that profit-driven transnational corporations have a legitimate claim to be custodians of natural assets. There is the premise that water, food, soil and agriculture should be handed over to powerful and wholly corrupt transnational corporations to milk for profit, under the pretence these entities are somehow serving the needs of humanity.
There is No Such Thing As A Free Lunch, For Humans
by Saral Sarkar
Logically and plausibly, we may argue that humanity will exist on the earth so long as the Sun continues to shine. But we cannot say that the industrial society can continue to exist without the fossil fuels and nonrenewable materials.

“American And democratic” Is Possible, But “Jewish And Democratic” Is Not
by Rima Najjar
“American and democratic” is possible, but “Jewish and democratic” is not, because the criminal Zionist entity is conceptually undemocratic and therefore morally bankrupt.
Trump’s Fascism versus Obama’s Fascism
by Eric Zuesse
Barack Obama was the only U.S. President who at the United Nations defended nazism — racist fascism — and Holocaust-denial. It received almost no reporting by the press at the time (or subsequently). But his successor President Donald Trump could end up being removed from office because he said that racist fascists are just the same as are people who demonstrate publicly against them.
Political Position Beyond Social Identities

The Panoramic Circus Of Rural Development
by Moin Qazi
The farmers in northern Maharashtra had suffered badly on account of low yields of cotton; additionally, the government procurement prices for cotton were pegged low. As a result, our loan recoveries plummeted. I conducted a detailed assessment of the farmers and realized that their plight was genuine and a rehabilitation package had to be worked out.
