What does it mean to be a part of Friends of the Earth?
It means you’re part of the world’s largest grassroots environmental organization, fighting for systemic change for more than 50 years.
It means you’re committed to stopping Donald Trump from destroying our environment. It means you’re speaking up and saying that we should stop dousing our food with toxic pesticides. It means you’re fighting to protect people and the planet over corporate profits.
Above all, it means you don’t back down when it comes to fighting for our planet and all of us who call it home. And our Earth has never needed you more.

Our environment is under threat like never before. This July was the hottest month on record. Extreme weather -- from hurricanes in Florida to wildfires in California -- is threatening communities across the country. The Amazon rainforest is burning. And scientists are warning that one million species could be at risk of extinction -- a crisis largely fueled by the use of toxic pesticides.
It would be easy to give up in the face of such a long and daunting battle. But I’ll tell you what: I’m not feeling defeated at all. In fact, I’m feeling more energized than ever -- and I want you to feel energized, too.
Because you and I know a secret that Trump and his cronies don’t: Friends of the Earth was made for this fight. We know how to bring people together and mobilize movements. We pull no punches. We are tough, scrappy and unafraid to stand up and speak truth to power. And with your support, that’s exactly what we’ll do.
Help fuel the fight against Trump’s extreme anti-environmental agenda: Give $27 or more to Friends of the Earth and your gift will be matched dollar-for-dollar!
With supporters like you by our side, we’re taking on the most urgent crises threatening our planet, wildlife and communities:
- Protecting our climate and cleaning our air. We fight back against the powerful oil, coal and nuclear lobbies, campaigning for clean energy, green technologies and transportation options, and effective strategies to combat climate change. You know this work is more important than ever. Trump has already pushed to open up our public lands to fossil fuel extraction. He is withdrawing the U.S. from the Paris climate agreement. And he’s taken the first step toward expanding oil drilling in our oceans. With your help, we’ll stand in his way.
- Holding governments and corporations accountable. Friends of the Earth is second-to-none in acting as a watchdog, exposing polluters’ money trails and demanding accountability from our representatives in Washington. The Trump Administration is pushing this corruption to new heights. That’s why we’ve implemented a broad strategic plan that includes countering Trump’s anti-environment executive orders, blocking bad legislation, leveraging our corporate campaigns to push for change, and fighting hard at the local level to implement much-needed environmental policies.
- Collaborating internationally to achieve global solutions. Friends of the Earth is the world’s largest grassroots environmental network and a leader in an international federation of partners from 75 countries across the globe. Our environment doesn’t stop at the border, so neither does our powerful advocacy for the planet and the people and wildlife who call it home.
This is the strong, compassionate, global community you’ll be part of when you join Friends of the Earth. It is one that innovates and collaborates as it defends and protects our planet. One that can -- and will -- act immediately to help save our one and only Earth.
The decisions that you and I make today will determine the outcome for our planet and all of us who call it home. That’s why I hope you’ll decide to join Friends of the Earth and become a major force for change today. The Earth is counting on you, Jessie.
Make a special year-end contribution to Friends of the Earth today. Your gift will be matched dollar-for-dollar -- up to $930,000!
