Brockton's Dirty Power Plant or Deja Vu?

Representatives of Advanced Power, the company proposing the Dirty Brockton Power plant, met with East Bridgewater Selectmen, to silence those dastardly opponents from asking questions and raising issues.
.
The comments below were eerily reminiscent of last year's Middleboro BOS conduct in preventing participation by opponents to the casino.
.
Because the meeting with Advanced Power was for informational purposes, those attending were not permitted to debate the issue.
.
Walsh said that the next step for the board is to share the information they received from Advanced Power with other boards in town, and possibly have a forum in the future. Brockton Enterprise
.
It bears remembering that just because you have a representative form of government apparently doesn't mean that you have a right to be heard.

I had the same thought when I read the article. Oops! Has anyone considered the connection between the casino and the power plant? Is there any info? A Bomb said he had the facts. Maybe we should ask. Or factfinder? How about the Yunits' connection? Will Advanced pollute E Bridgewater with casino power? Is that the reason for the mboro silence?

A local radio show has been discussing this and their are too many questions that arent being answered. I don't understand why Middleborough isn't involved.

We bougt a house near the location right before it was anounced. Then we were told there would be a 250 foot tall smoke stack in our back yard that uses contaminated waste water.
Do you think you object more than we do?
Now we're stuck with mortgage payments and who would ever buy our house?
When I read 479 Plymouth, boy can we understand.

anon - I don't think the power plant has anything to do with the casino.

As to the post:
When someone wants to rush something and stifle debate, you can be sure that it is something that should not be rushed and requires a lot of debate.

Where's the information that was presented to E Bridgewater posted? This is just like the casino "Trust Me." This plant will burn diesel in the winter because of increased demand for gas. Clean? Never mind. Only the lower income will develop asthma from particulates and air pollution, not that it matters to the state.
