The story of an old unwanted stray dog who changed a life.

About 10ish yrs ago I was driving home from the west coast. In a small town in north Nevada I almost ran over a dog. I get out of my truck and called him over to me. He is very friendly and hops in my truck. I’m not sure what I should do with him. I can’t turn him back loose on a busy street. I have him for a short time before I see a cop parked along side the road. I get out and explain the situation to him and ask if he knew where my new friend belongs. He tells me the town is full of strays and if he ends up in the pound he will be killed. What am I suppose to do now?
...
The next morning someone asked me what kind of dog I had. I said I don’t know. They told me he looked like a dingo. Cool, My friend now has a name. There was no way Dingo was going to be left behind so he made the trip back to Indiana with me.
I can not type the words to make anyone understand what a blessing Dingo was. He did not come from a breeder or a pet shop. Just a old stray dog no one else wanted. Most of the dogs that end up in shelters are killed. Please, if your going to get a pet, be a hero, adopt your new best friend.
