Meet Blackie
This big boy is gentle and sweet
This big boy is gentle and is learning to trust humans at the People for Cats shelter in Falmouth. PFC photo.
Blackie is a young, handsome black domestic short hair male, with a white accent patch on his chest, and large double paws.
This large boy was a stray from the Maravista area who fended for himself for awhile before one of our volunteers began feeding him on a regular basis. At the shelter, he was initially somewhat shy around people, but we’ve seen him make great progress towards trusting people.
Blackie is a curious boy and loves to play with interactive wand toys. He has been known to sit on laps and give little kisses to people he plays with.
At the shelter this big boy has also been forming bonds with other non-aggressive cats in his suite.
A gentle sweet cat, Blackie has great potential for being a loving companion in someone's home. He would probably do best in a quiet home where he can feel secure and loved.
If you would like to visit with this “handsome devil”, or one of our other equally charming kitties, come in to the shelter at 44 Beagle Lane in Teaticket. We are open to the public on Wednesdays from 4 to 6 p.m., Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., or call our hotline for an appointment. Hotline: 508-540-5654.
