BOURNE — The Cape Downwinders have organized a rally at the Sagamore Bridge from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday to protest what they say is an inadequate evacuation plan for the region in the event of a nuclear accident.
The anti-Pilgrim Nuclear Power Station activists will be equipped with signs, banners and noisemakers to draw attention to drivers stuck in traffic that there is "no escape from the Cape" should there be such a disaster.
The protest will take place near the Christmas Tree Shops parking lot on Route 6. The public is invited to join in. For more information, visit the group's website at capedownwinders.org.
