Air war in Syria could last years 23 Sept 2014 The U.S.-led airstrikes mounted Monday and early Tuesday in Syria are the opening salvo of what is likely to be a years-long campaign to rout al-Qaeda[al-CIAduh]-linked terrorists and Islamic State fighters from the war-torn country, according to military leaders. Bombing runs in Syria will continue into the foreseeable future, Defense Department officials said. After initial strikes in Syria, U.S. warplanes returning to their home base blasted two trucks, U.S. Central Command reported in a statement.

Oil installations in Syria hit by anti-ISIS coalition [Right, only US/UK corporations are allowed to produce and sell oil.] 24 Sept 2014 According to Agency France-Presse, strikes involved targeting an oil field in Syria administered by the Islamic State, reportedly close to positions held by the group near the towns of Al-Omar and Deir ez-Zor, journalist Zaid Benjamin reported. The US and its partners used "a mix of fighter and remotely piloted aircraft to conduct 13 of airstrikes against 12 ISIL-controlled modular oil refineries located in remote areas of eastern Syria in the vicinity of Al Mayadin, Al Hasakah, and Abu Kamal and one ISIL vehicle near Dayr az Zawr, also in eastern Syria," read a statement by CENTCOM.

Britain Edges Closer to Launching IS Airstrikes --PM warns of terror plots in Britain 24 Sept 2014 Britain could be days from military involvement in the Middle East after David Cameron warned the fight against Islamic State was one the UK "could not opt out of". Speaking ahead of a United Nations summit in New York the Prime Minister insisted the group was planning attacks on Britain and an international coalition was needed to destroy "this evil organisation." Iraq's Prime Minister Haider Abadi is expected to formally ask for Britain's involvement in airstrikes against IS positions in the north of the country when he meets with Mr Cameron tomorrow.

ISIS, Khorasan Mean U.S. at Highest Risk Since 9/11: New York's Top Cop 23 Sept 2014 The top cop in the nation's biggest city said that because of ISIS and other terror threats, the U.S. has entered one of the most dangerous periods since 9/11 terror – and the risk will only increase. "Since 9/11, the NYPD has always been at a very high level of concern and focus on the counterterrorism issues and the issue of dealing with terrorism," said New York City Police Commissioner Bill Bratton in an interview with NBC News. "Those that have been involved in it for a number of years in New York City and the NYPD believe that this period of time is one of the most significant dangerous periods ever seen since 9/11 13 years ago."

Air strikes to avert another 9/11: US deploys its awesome arsenal - including the new F-22 Raptor stealth fighter - over fears Khorasan terror group was about to 'blow up planes with toothpaste bombs' --Target of missile strikes was Al Qaeda-linked group apparently nearing 'execution phase' of plot against the West 23 Sept 2014 Fears of an imminent terror atrocity to rival 9/11 prompted a wave of missile strikes in Syria yesterday. The target was an Al Qaeda[al-CIAduh]-linked group apparently nearing 'the execution phase' of a plot against airports and passenger planes in the West. The American attack on the little-known [except to its creators, in Langley, VA] Khorasan group was separate from airstrikes on 14 Islamic State targets in Syria carried out by the US and five Arab nations. In the early hours of yesterday Tomahawk cruise missiles were launched against hideouts, training camps and a bomb-making factory used by Khorasan and Islamic State.

FBI chief: ISIL militant in beheading videos identified --'I'm not going to tell you who I believe it is.' [LOL! That's because he's likely on the MI6/CIA payroll.] 25 Sept 2014 U.S. officials believe they know the identify of the masked Islamic State terrorist seen in videos of the beheadings of two American journalists and a British aid worker, FBI Director James Comey said Thursday. But he did not release the name or nationality of the man dubbed "Jihadi John," who speaks British-accented English. "I believe that we have identified him," he told reporters in Washington. "I'm not going to tell you who I believe it is."

French hostage Herve Gourdel 'beheaded in Algeria' --France joined US air strikes on IS in Iraq last week but has not taken part in strikes on the group in Syria. 24 Sept 2014 An Algerian jihadist group has released a video that appears to show the beheading of French tourist Herve Gourdel, who was seized on Sunday. Jund al-Khilafa, an ally of the Islamic State (IS) group in Syria and Iraq, had set a 24-hour deadline for France to halt air strikes on IS in Iraq. Mr Gourdel, 55, was abducted in the north-east Kabylie region.

Syria air strikes: US targeted Khorasan terrorist group to stop 'imminent attack' 23 Sept 2014 The US has attacked a second 'terrorist group' in Syria that was plotting an "imminent attack against America and Western interests" as the bombing campaign against the Islamic State (Isis) [I-CIA-SIS] begins. American forces started air strikes inside the country with international allies overnight with the stated aim of targeting Isis but the US also hit a group [new CIA fabrication] called Khorasan, it has emerged. On Monday, the US director of national intelligence James Clapper described the group, made up of al-Qaeda [al-CIAduh] veterans, as an international terror threat on the same level as Isis. [OMG, a *new* terrorist group -- Khorasan -- worse than ISIS! Does *anyone* actually believe these utter and complete *fabrications?* US dirt-bags are gunning to blow Mosul Dam -- pundits mention the dam and 'terror threats' to it daily -- and kill thousands of Iraqis, so the US pig snout can suck up all of Iraq's oil. As to the terrorist state of Saudi Arabia, the lunatics running that regime *behead* people as a routine punishment -- far more than the alleged 'ISIS' tally of rolling heads. Why on earth is Saudi Arabia an *ally* of the United States? --Lori Price]

Australian police shoot dead 'known terror suspect' 24 Sept 2014 Police in Melbourne have shot dead a "known terror suspect" who stabbed two officers, a day after the Islamic State group called for Muslims to indiscriminately kill Australians, said officials. The 18-year-old, whose passport was cancelled a week ago on security grounds, was killed on Tuesday evening, having arrived at a police station on the outskirts of the city to attend a "routine" interview. It came as tougher counter-terrorism laws were introduced to Australia's parliament on Wednesday to combat the threat of foreign fighters, with a proposal to criminalise travel to known terror hotspots without a legitimate reason.

The Massachusetts Nurses Association, the union representing 3,200 nurses at the Brigham, said in its lawsuit that the hospital's mandate, which could lead to the firing of employees who refuse vaccination, violates a state regulation that explicitly bars hospitals from requiring employees to the receive vaccine if they don't want it, regardless of the reason.
