The
new year is almost upon us. President Barack Obama gave a press
conference on Sunday in which he only called on women reporters. Then he went on
vacation. On Tuesday, the Commerce Department reported that the economy grew at
a 5 percent rate in the third quarter. "The economy really does seem to have
found a new gear," writes Kevin Drum.
Also,
the Colbert Report ended, and 2014 was a terrible year for science denial.
