Robert F. Kennedy, campaigning for the office of President of the United States in Roseburg, Oregon, 47 years ago was heckled and picketed for advocating what were minimal proposals for gun control. Yes, this is the same Roseburg, Oregon where a mass campus shooting took place this past week. Less than two weeks later, Kennedy was assassinated with a 22 caliber handgun. The country needs to think about this and wake up!
The Republican Congress knew the Zadroga Act was going to expire. They wanted it to expire. They wanted to leave 9/11 Responders at risk of losing their health care. They want the people of the United States of America to forget that 9/11 ever happened. Attorney General Lynch, many of these same evil, callous Republican members of Congress were signers of the Grover Norquist Pledge, placing them in violation of Section 3 of the Fourteenth Amendment. They also have participated in or encouraged shut down of the government,which put them in clear violation of Section 4 of the Fourteenth Amendment. This flagrant disregard of their oaths of uphold and defend the Constitution is nothing compared to this act of war they are committing against these brave emergency workers and public servants who, in many cases, sacrificed their future health in the aid of our fellow Americans who were viciously attacked as a result of both hatred and failure to communicate. Attorney General Lynch, you have the means to force these cretins right now to their duty. Their alternative will be arrest, trial and imprisonment for sedition. This isn't partisan. It's the right thing to do in the face of their incompetence and intransigence.
