Dear Friend,
Palestine is on the boil again over the sacred Al Aqsa mosque. The palestinian stand is clearly expressed here "We refuse the gates because they are coming from the occupation; if they place roses in al-Aqsa, we will refuse it because it is coming from the occupation … we are for life, not death, but a life with dignity"
In this age of coverging crises Sally Dugman shows us our way towards another world through our collective little actions collects into an ocean where life can thrive.
K. P Sasi's cartoons series continues.
Also more stories from around the world.

“If Israel Placed Roses Instead Of Metal Detectors In Al-Aqsa, We Would Still Reject Them”
by Rima Najjar
We refuse the gates because they are coming from the occupation; if they place roses in al-Aqsa, we will refuse it because it is coming from the occupation … we are for life, not death, but a life with dignity
Ten Myths About Israel
by Dr Ludwig Watzal
Particularly, in the US and some European States, the Israeli and Zionist versions of history are wide-spread. Israel's narrative relies on a collection of myths aimed at bringing the moral right and the ethical behavior of the Palestinians into twilight and making their claim to their country appear as illegitimate. Israel's negation of Palestinian existence in the Land of Palestine is, however, a falsification of history.
From Spicy To The Mooch: A Farewell To Sean Spicer
by Dr Binoy Kampmark
What will entertainers do in his absence? White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer was more than grist to the mill of celluloid delights, becoming, by the admission of the US President, a “tv hit” smoking the ratings. When a press secretary’s conduct is valued, not for the substance of his material, but the entertainment he garners, the Republic is surely stuttering towards vacuity and ruin.
Acceptable Versus Unacceptable Ways To Go Forward!
by Sally Dugman
So, yes, we’re “stuck” in some ways because we need oil, drugs, food (of which the majority is GM, apparently, in the USA), clothing (often made by poorly paid laborers), etc. This being the case, though, does not excuse us one iota, I would think, from doing whatever we can, even if small and seemingly inconsequential, to improve the way that we go about our lives.
Malarial Attitudes
by Annapurna Tosca Sriramarcel
“King Trump is no more or less than a malarial mosquito in a stinking swamp of quicksand we’ve created. You can say the same about the Queen of England with regard to the British historical record and present momentum. They’re both deadly forces, but — ultimately — distractions from ourselves, our responsibility.”
When Erasure From Memory Is Also A Human Rights Violation
by Dr Sylvia Karpagam
http://www.countercurrents.org/2017/07/22/when-erasure-from-memory-is-also-a-human-rights-violation/
The Human rights organisation, Amnesty International has brought out two reports, one in 2016 and another in 2017, highlighting details of prisoners facing death penalties and of undertrials in India. However both reports fail to mention that a majority of those facing death penalties or undertrials awaiting a hearing belong to the historically marginalised Scheduled caste and Scheduled tribes (SC/ST) as well as religious minorities, predominantly Muslim.
