Breaking: Texas church shooter who killed up to 27 people was dishonorably discharged from the US Air Force --San Antonio police raided Kelley's home on Sunday evening, with K9 and bomb squad units. | 05 Nov 2017 | The mass shooter who opened fire inside a Texas church killing at least 27 - including a two-year-old child - has been identified as a 26-year-old former Bible study teacher who was dishonorably discharged from the US Air Force. Devin Patrick Kelley walked into the First Baptist Church of Sutherland Springs, dressed in full combat gear, and began shooting, according to local law enforcement sources. Kelley, 26, of New Braunfels, a suburb of San Antonio, was killed after a brief foot chase into Guadalupe County, according Guadalupe County Sheriff's Office spokesman Robert Murphy. But it's still unclear if the gunman shot himself or was taken down by authorities.

A witness reported seeing a man walk into First Baptist Church and began shooting around 11:30 a.m. Sunday. The shooter was killed by police, officials at the scene said. Some survivors were taken to Brooke Army Medical Center via medical helicopter.

Two shot, one fatally, outside church in Fresno | 05 Nov 2017 | Two people were shot in the parking lot of St. Alphonsus Church in Fresno on Sunday and police were involved in a standoff nearby with someone believed to be the gunman, the Fresno Bee reports. According to dispatch and eyewitness reports, the shooter got out of a vehicle, fired his gun at the victims who were shot inside a blue Toyota, and returned to the car to flee the scene. Father Dominic Rajappa told the Fresno Bee that morning mass had just ended and churchgoers were leaving when gunfire broke out. One person reportedly died.

He was 66. Describing meetings with MGM, Las Vegas police, and the FBI as "incredibly strange and complex" to one of his friends on recently made private Facebook threads, the attorney was privy to inside information that the FBI, by announcing they are no longer holding press conferences and the investigation is closed, have chosen to withhold from the public. 
Ballistics data analysis confirms 'muzzle flash' footage from room 32-134 genuine gunfire | 02 Nov 2017 | On Nov. 1 Intellihub was the first to publish the precise video timestamp and a screenshot of what appeared to be a single "muzzle flash" emitting from the room adjacent to Stephen Paddock’s 32nd-floor Mandalay Bay suite but now an independent ballistic analysis confirms the flash was, in fact, actual gunfire. In the video, a flash can clearly be seen (at the 6:52 second mark) coming from room 32-134. 
Top U.S. general says 4,000 American troops are in Syria; Pentagon claims number is 500 [Well, those I-CIA-SIS food and weapons drops certainly aren't going to happen by themselves, now are they?] | 31 Oct 2017 | A senior U.S. military commander said Tuesday that 4,000 American troops are on the ground in Syria, a figure far greater than the 503 personnel the Trump administration says are deployed there. Army Maj. Gen. James B. Jarrard, who heads the U.S.-led Special Operations task force targeting the Islamic State in Syria and Iraq, offered the surprising figure while briefing Pentagon-based reporters via satellite from Baghdad. When asked to confirm the 4,000 figure, Jarrard appeared to be caught off guard. He then apologized and said the number is about 500. Eric Pahon, a Pentagon spokesman facilitating the briefing, interjected moments later, insisting the number is just 503. 
US soldier killed during operation in eastern Afghanistan | 05 Nov 2017 | A US service member has been killed during operations in Afghanistan's eastern province of Logar on Saturday, according to the US military. It is the same region where another soldier was killed in a helicopter crash last week. The US Forces Afghanistan Command in Kabul confirmed the fatality in a statement, without giving details of the deceased's identity or the circumstances of his death.

Saudi Arabia intercepts ballistic missile over capital | 05 Nov 2017 | Yemeni rebels on Saturday targeted an airport in Saudi Arabia's capital with a ballistic missile, according to Yemen's Houthi-controlled Defense Ministry. But the missile was intercepted over northeast Riyadh, the Saudi Ministry of Defense said in a statement carried on government-backed Al-Arabiya television. Yemen's Defense Ministry said the missile attack "shook the Saudi capital" and the operation was successful. The attack was conducted using a Yemeni-made, long-range missile called the Burqan 2H, it said.
11 Saudi princes, 4 ministers arrested as crown prince unleashes crackdown on corruption - report | 05 Nov 2017 | Saudi Arabia has ordered the arrest of at least 11 Saudi princes and four incumbent ministers of the Saudi government, Al-Arabiya reported, citing sources. Among those detained are the minister of the National Guard and the minister of economy. A new anti-corruption committee chaired by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman was created late Saturday by royal decree of King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, published by Saudi Arabia's official news agency on Saturday.

Alwaleed is among 11 princes and 38 current or former senior officials that were arrested as part of a corruption probe, the Saudi financial daily reported on Sunday. A senior Saudi official confirmed that the list is accurate. Alwaleed is one of the world's richest men and has an extensive portfolio that includes a stake in Citigroup Inc. which the prince has held since 1991. Kingdom Holding, in which Alwaleed owns 95 percent, is also an investor in News Corp., Twitter Inc. [top shareholder], JD.com Inc...

Rene Boucher, 59, of Bowling Green was arrested Friday evening, and is accused of assaulting Paul. Voter records from March 2017 show Rene Boucher registered as a Democrat...KSP spokesman Jeremiah Hodges said the FBI was on scene to investigate whether the assault was politically motivated but was unable to elaborate on the status of that investigation.
Police: Rand Paul assaulted in Bowling Green --It's unclear why he was assaulted | 04 Nov 2017 | GOP Sen. Rand Paul was assaulted at his home in Bowling Green, Kentucky, by a neighbor on Friday, according to Kentucky State Police. State troopers responded to a call to the senator's residence at 3:21 p.m. and arrested a man named Rene Albert Boucher, who they allege "intentionally assaulted" Paul, causing him "minor injury." Boucher was charged with one count of fourth-degree assault. 
ISIS claims responsibility for New York truck attack, report says | 02 Nov 2017 | The Islamic State group claimed responsibility Thursday for this week's truck attack in New York City that killed eight, Reutersreported, citing the terror group's weekly issue of Al-Naba newspaper. "(T)he attacker is one of the caliphate soldiers," the group reportedly declared. Eight people were killed and a dozen were injured Tuesday near the World Trade Center in Lower Manhattan when 29-year-old Uzbek immigrant Sayfullo Saipov drove a rented truck into people walking and cycling on a bike path, federal authorities said.
2nd person obtained for questioning in NYC truck attack | 01 Nov 2017 | An Uzbek immigrant accused of a deadly truck attack on a New York bike path has been charged with providing material support to a terrorist group and violence and destruction of motor vehicles. And now the FBI says that another person is wanted for questioning in the New York City bike lane truck attack. A senior law enforcement official told ABC News that Mukhammadzoir Kadirov, a friend of suspect Sayfullo Saipov, was found and will be questioned about possible advanced knowledge of the attack.

Police sources say Sayfullo Habibullaevic Saipov, 29, entered a bicycle path at Houston Street at 3.05pm and drove downtown, knocking down victims before smashing into a school bus at Chambers Street, exiting and shouting 'Allahu Akbar'. He then waved a paintball gun in one hand and a pellet gun in the other, and was shot in the abdomen by a police officer...Images of ISIS flags were found in his truck, as well as handwritten notes pledging his allegiance to the terrorist group, insiders told the New York Post. 
NYC terror suspect Sayfullo Saipov arrest - Police swarm 2 N.J. locations | 31 Oct 2017 | The investigation into Sayfullo Saipov, the alleged terrorist accused of killing 8 people Tuesday in a Manhattan truck attack, turned to Passaic County. As of late Tuesday evening, authorities had surrounded a block in Paterson and a parking lot at a Home Depot in Passaic. On Tuesday night, police had surrounded a mosque and nearby garden apartments in Paterson. Saipov is an Uzbek national and came to the U.S. in 2010, NBC News reported. 
Man accused of randomly killing 3 people at Walmart captured | 02 Nov 2017 | The man suspected of killing three people at random inside a Colorado Walmart was arrested Thursday, Thornton police said. Scott Ostrem, 47, was taken into custody Thursday morning. But it's still not clear why he may have opened fire near a cash register at the Walmart Supercenter Wednesday night, killing two men and a woman. "We believe as of right now that the shooting was random," Thornton Police Officer Victor Avila said. "There's nothing on motive as of yet." 
3 dead after random shooting at Colorado Walmart, suspect still at-large | 02 Nov 2017 | Three people are dead following what police are calling a "random" shooting at a Walmart in Colorado, authorities said Wednesday night. The suspect has not been apprehended and police are currently conducting a manhunt for the individual. Two men and one woman were killed in the shooting, police said. 
Bowe Bergdahl gets dishonorable discharge, avoids prison time | 03 Nov 2017 | Bowe Bergdahl received a dishonorable discharge from the US Army, but will avoid prison time for desertion and misbehavior before the enemy after abandoning his outpost in Afghanistan in 2009, a military judge ruled Friday. The judge ordered that Bergdahl's rank be reduced from sergeant to private. Additionally, Bergdahl will be required to pay a 1,000 fine from his salary for the next 10 months. The soldier, whom the Taliban held for five years after he deserted his Afghanistan outpost, pleaded guilty last month to the charges. 
Fort Detrick a busy little bee? New 'Black Death' found: Deadly virus worse than plague and with no cure breaks out - WHO | 04 Nov 2017 | A deadly outbreak of a rare and highly fatal virus has broken out in eastern Uganda and five cases have already been identified, the World Health Organisation (WHO) has confirmed. The disease, known as Marburg virus disease (MVD), is similar to Ebola and can be lethal in up to 90 per cent of cases. The WHO website reads: "Marburg virus disease is a rare disease with a high mortality rate for which there is no specific treatment. "The virus is transmitted by direct contact with the blood, body fluids and tissues of infected persons or wild animals (e.g. monkeys and fruit bats)." 
Trump plans to meet with Putin during Asia trip | 04 Nov 2017 | President Trump said shortly before landing in Japan Sunday that he expects to meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin during his 12-day Asia Trip. Trump told a gaggle of reporters during his flight to Japan that the two are expecting to meet to discuss North Korea. "I think it's expected we'll meet with Putin, yeah. We want Putin's help on North Korea, and we'll be meeting with a lot of different leaders," Trump said.

Donning a leather bomber jacket, and flanked by fighter jets inside a cavernous hangar, Trump described the troops as the "last bulwarks" against threats from "tyrants and dictators who prey on the innocent." ...In Hawaii on Saturday, Trump visited the memorial at Pearl Harbor and received briefings on U.S. operations from the Pacific to the Indian Ocean, from a Pacific Command that has been shaken by fatal collisions of ships at sea. 
Senators back Trump's call to end diversity visa random selection program | 01 Nov 2017 | Senators signaled on Wednesday that they are open to ending an immigration program that President Trump wants to shut down in the wake of the New York City terrorist attack. Trump on Wednesday called for ending the [insane] diversity visa lottery system and said he would start "the process of terminating" it. The program was created by an immigration law in 1990, so ending it would require action from Congress. While there are early signs of divisions over how to scrap the program, senators stressed they were broadly supportive of the idea. 
Twitter's general counsel admits to burying nearly 50% of #DNCLeak, #PodestaEmails tweets during last two months of 2016 presidential campaign | 02 Nov 2017 | Twitter "hid" nearly 50 percent of tweets bearing the hashtag #DNCLeak along with a quarter of those with #PodestaEmails during the last two months of the 2016 presidential campaign, according to new testimony from Twitter's general counsel. On Oct. 31, the U.S. Senate Committee on the Judiciary, Subcommittee on Crime and Terrorism heard testimony from Twitter general counsel Sean Edgett in its investigation of possible Russian interference in the 2016 election. Edgett said that Twitter systems concealed substantial numbers of tweets relating to hacked emails from the Democratic National Committee as well as from Clinton campaign chair John Podesta, despite the fact that it knew that only a tiny percentage of these could have even "potential links to Russia." 
FBI turns over new Clinton investigation documents to Congress | 04 Nov 2017 | The FBI has begun turning over to Senate investigators hundreds of pages of memos regarding the bureau's probe into Hillary Clinton's private email server, sources told The Hill. The sources said the Justice Department notified the Senate Judiciary Committee late Friday and the FBI began transmitting memos soon after to assist Congress in its review of former Director James Comey's handling of the Clinton email case. The memos detail how and when the bureau's leadership declined to pursue criminal charges against Clinton for transmitting classified information on her private email server as secretary of State. 
Disgraced Democratic Party boss Debbie Wasserman Schultz doesn't deny taking part in Hillary's coup to rig primaries against Bernie | 03 Nov 2017 | Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz has responded to a searing critique running the Democrat National Committee, saying she is 'proud' of her controversial tenure but failing to address claims she essentially handed over the party to Hillary Clinton. The former DNC chair issued a statement after her successor, interim chair Donna Brazile, released a book excerpt where she said Wasserman Schultz was 'not a good manager' and allowed Clinton to virtually take over the party even before she captured the nomination. Astonishingly, Elizabeth Warren - who campaigned with Clinton - said she believed Brazile. Asked on CNN: 'Do you agree with notion that it was rigged' she answered simply: 'Yes.'

Late Thursday night, President Trump tweeted, 'Donna Brazile just stated the DNC RIGGED the system to illegally steal the Primary from Bernie Sanders. Bought and paid for by Crooked H....' 'This is real collusion and dishonesty. Major violation of Campaign Fin-nce Laws and M-ney Laundering - where is our Justice Department?' the President continued in a second Tweet. The tweet was in response to an explosive piece by former Democratic National Committee interim chair Donna Brazile in her upcoming book. Brazile alleges that she found 'proof' the 2016 Democratic primary was rigged in Clinton's favor.

Virginia gov race ad sparks outrage, portrays Gillespie supporter trying to mow down kids | 31 Oct 2017 | Democratic candidate for Virginia governor Ralph Northam is not distancing himself from the controversial ad suggesting supporters of Republican candidate Ed Gillespie are seen as Confederates who attack minority children. The new opposition ad titled "American Nightmare" was released Monday by Democratic group Latino Victory Fund (LVF) and is scheduled to run through Election Day. The opposition ad shows minority children seemingly being chased by a driver in a pickup truck, decked out with a Confederate flag, a "Gillespie for governor" bumper sticker and a "Don't Tread on Me" license plate. The driver makes his way toward the scared children who shout, “Run! Run! Run!” when they see the truck. The ad concludes with a scene of a Charlottesville-like rally false flag, with a narrator asking: "Is this what Donald Trump and Ed Gillespie mean by the 'American Dream?'" 
Dow charges more than 90 points higher as Trump taps Powell as Fed boss nominee | 02 Nov 2017 | The Dow Jones Industrial Average climbed to session highs on Thursday, with less than a half-hour left of regular trade, after President Donald Trump picked Fed. Gov. Jerome Powell as the next Federal Reserve chairman. If confirmed by the Senate, Powell would replace Janet Yellen, whose term ends in February. The Dow Jones Industrial Average DJIA, +0.35% was trading in record territory, up more than 90 points, or 0.4%, at 23,525.
