I've endorsed Bernie's campaign for president because he is the candidate we can trust to take on corporate America and fight when we are in the White House.
The first time that I spoke for Bernie at a rally was when he first won his seat in Congress in Vermont in 1990.
It was amazing that day thinking about how it seemed like an impossible task to get a democratic socialist elected to Congress. But Bernie won that election — and won eight more elections to Congress too before winning his Senate race.
Look where we are now: Bernie Sanders has risen to the top of the polls to become the next President of the United States so that together we can transform our country. It might seem like an impossible task, but it’s not.
You won’t read about this in the media, but the reason why we’re doing so well is because we have an unrivaled volunteer force — that’s you all — who are knocking on more doors and making more phone calls than ever before in a presidential campaign.
Not only that, but we have more contributions from more donors than anyone else — including Donald Trump. No one else can say that.
And now Bernie is facing our final quarterly FEC fundraising deadline before voting starts. Shortly before the Iowa caucus, we’re going to have to report how much money we raise — and with it, we’ll say how many contributions people made too.
It is PEOPLE who are our big advantage in this primary. Bernie doesn’t go to fancy high-dollar fundraisers. He doesn’t have a super PAC. He just has all of us.
Thank you for being a part of what we’re building together.
In solidarity,
Michael Moore
