We may hear people chant 'human rights' here in Australia...but do we really care? Do we.... or is it just something we say that matters to us, conveniently...at election time? Even though for the rest of the time we may turn our backs, avert our eyes and pretend we do not notice? The day that we all gladly give to other nations, open our country and our homes to the world, help others less fortunate and make a genuine sacrifice so that all may live peacefully...we will really care. Meanwhile let's keep chanting shall we?...especially if it helps to win elections. Odd how some political parties can chant 'stop the boats' one minute...complain bitterly over 'costs'....yet profess to be the savior of human rights, the next....
