This deserves special Dishonorable Mention ......

Clear Channel Pulls Ads for Women's Health Clinic, Claiming They Are "Indecent"

The South Wind Women's Center, a comprehensive women's health clinic located in Wichita, KS, recently ran two, short ads on a number of Clear Channel stations.

However, after running the ads, Clear Channel notified the clinic that they violated the company's "decency standards." (This clinic was re-established to provide "full-spectrum" reproductive care for women in the wake of the murder of Dr. Tiller.)

The ads were then pulled – you can listen to how innocuous they are here and here.

Keep in mind that Clear Channel is so desperate for advertising revenue, that it is accepting advertisements, particularly during Rush Limbaugh's show, for all sorts of unsavory outfits.
As Women, Action & the Media writes:
Clear Channel has booted them off the air for violating ”decency standards,” even though the same Clear Channel stations happily run ads for the local “adult boutique” and “male enhancement” products.
To be absolutely clear about the bombastic sexism and fear of lady parts – fueled by the religious right – that is required to boot such ads for violating "decency standards," just read the text for one of the ads:
At South Wind Women’s Center, our physicians are committed to providing quality reproductive healthcare in Wichita. Each physician is board-certified in family medicine or obstetrics in gynecology. Between them, they have over 50 years of experience and dedication, ensuring women are able to ensure the care they need when they need it.
Yes, women's health is indecent. But 'male enhancement' products and sex shops?
Not so much.

Author's Note:
You can sign a petition by the South Wind Women's Center, calling upon Clear Channel to run their ads, here.
